We have a really young team. So aside from the fact that adding these fundamentals that can help with their speed could be real important for the guys, you have them working with a world champion at the Olympic level, and you want that attitude and pedigree as a part of the organization.

This is a player who missed a lot of hockey the last couple of years. To think that he can come back like Superman and save the day, we're not thinking like that at all. We want him consistently healthy, where he can come to the rink without feeling any pain.

But I think that would be a good idea.

He's got a lot of speed, but we're talking about the NHL here. We had plenty of opportunities to put that game away.

It was a good opportunity to work on his conditioning. That's all that was. It's tough to miss training camp, then jump in and be expected to take the league by storm.

We turned over the puck too much. Tonight it did come back to bite us. A team like that (Philadelphia) that lost its last game didn't want to lose two in a row. They're a good team and it's no surprise where they are in the standing.

They (Hilbert and Munro) played well. Especially early, Adam made some big saves and it was nice to see Andy get a couple of goals. He's worked hard. Anytime you can get guys like that chipping in goals it helps, when you can score by committee.

That'll be more a business decision than a hockey decision. Our hands are somewhat tied, but that's the way the rules are.

When we lost Anderson and Leighton, Adam played a lot of good games for us. He got us into the [American Hockey League] playoffs.

We just didn't stick with it long enough. They're in first place, and they showed it.

He played a solid game and was there when we needed him.

We're not looking for help from anybody. We've got to help ourselves. They're big boys. It's not woe is me. We've got to dig ourselves out of this.

That was a good call.
