It is amazing to me that, right up until race time, these guys are still accessible to the fans and signing autographs. You would never get that close to any other athlete in any other sport. I don't know that in football - while I was playing or even now m that players really understand or appreciate what drives the sport. In NASCAR, they seem to have a pretty good feel for it.

They have been great. They have gotten behind the sport, and we don't have to worry about having the necessary funds.

I feel like I've learned a lot in a short period of time. I think I watch it more from an athlete's perspective.

This is the first time we've done any business together. It's been interesting for me to see how he addresses certain situations. Roger is one of the best people I know. He's really an inspiration for this entire team.

I know Tony was disappointed in himself and Philippe (Lopez, the crew chief) was disappointed in himself. To me, I like that. I walked away saying not bad, a top 25 finish, but the fact that those guys expected more of themselves, that's encouraging.

I'm guarded about saying, well if we can be in the top 25 or the top 20 at the end of the season, we'd really be pleased, because we'd all like to win. That certainly is the objective. But for us being in our first year, that's a realistic expectation. Next year, our goals would obviously enhance.

I know that Tony feels an enormous amount of pressure going into this week and I think our entire crew does, unfortunately. I'd hate for them to put undue pressure on themselves.

What I knew coming in has only been reinforced, is how competitive this sport is, and how much of a disadvantage a startup team is under. But I do think we're going to continue to do better.

I tend to think that most people are a little exhausted on Terrell Owens. If they're not by now, I do think they will be by Christmas.

We are a sister team, for lack of a better term, with Joe Gibbs Racing. In three years, we'd like to be a stand-alone team.

Certainly, after six races, by no means have we arrived or is this an overwhelming success. I know Tony views this as a tremendous opportunity.
