Any situation you can put me in, I've been there. You just leave it up to the coaching staff and be ready when called. |
He lets the [front office] do what it has to do. He's going to come out and play hard if it's one-on-five. |
He's a versatile player who can handle the ball, pass the ball and shoot the ball. He's a big guy (6 feet 8). We know he has skills. He hasn't played like this the entire season, but he has been steady. In the NBA, any guy can step up any night. |
He's just a love-the-game type of guy. He brought some of that as well. It showed in his play. |
I gave it my all. It probably didn't look like that ... but anybody that's played this game, that had an injury like I had, can understand what I was going through. |
I had no fears of missing. I just took it. |
I'll start practicing tomorrow and work myself into things. I'll be fully ready for the season opener. |
It wasn't just my ankle. I mean, my entire leg was lacking strength. Coming off surgery, I didn't get a chance to build those muscles up. So I was basically on one leg. |
It's definitely tough. Most of the games we have lost this year have been close, competitive games. We need a couple of them to go our way for a change, but we competed. |
It's very disappointing. It seems like every time I go in and think it's one thing, it's another. |
That's all we've talked about is defense, defense, defense. Now we're coming out and backing up our talk. |
There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team. |
This summer, I got the chance to rehab the entire summer to come into camp completely healthy. That's the difference between this year and last year. |
This year was a learning experience for us. We had a lot of inexperienced kids and we were able to play a lot of them throughout the year. We had 12 kids on the bench and we played all of them at the tournament. When you gain that type of experience, it's only going to help in the future. |
We couldn't knock shots down at the end. We had a couple of turnovers and they had a couple of easy baskets. We had a couple of good looks on our end and they didn't go down and that was the ball game. |
