He's at the rink from 8 in the morning until 9 at night, so that'll keep him busy and occupied. We just try to keep him busy. Like people would know, when you lose a companion of 45 years, it's hard. It's going to be a change for my dad, but he was tremendous support from my sister, my brothers. |
He's been outstanding for us. He's a tremendous professional and again tonight he was outstanding. |
He's been outstanding. He's really playing with authority and he's playing with a great deal of confidence. |
He's having fun, ... The hockey is better than people would think. |
He's meant so much not only to the National Hockey League but to that franchise and the city of Pittsburgh. |
His family are great people, |
His records speak for themselves, ... My dad told me today that I ran an 800-goal scorer out of hockey. |
His records speak for themselves. He's a consummate professional. |
Honestly it's been a horrible three months for me. Personally, as you move forward, your health becomes more important than anything, and it's been a rough three months. |
Hopefully this is the start of a great year for everyone in the league. It was nice to be part of it, although we would have loved to have won. |
Hopefully, he's around Team Canada in a different capacity as we move forward here. |
Hopefully, they can come up with a compromise that everyone's happy with because it would be great to see us keep playing hockey. |
I am excited to be back behind the bench. |
I am shocked and disappointed we didn't play with more urgency offensively against Finland. |
I basically told him he's been a big part of our team, and we're not going to just give him away; we're not going to loan him to any team. I was honest with him. If we were offered a couple of really good, young players that would help us for a long time we'd have to seriously consider it . . . . But we're not phoning people, we're not calling teams. At this point in time, I don't anticipate moving Curtis. |
