I feel like we're over the hump now. Some of these top 10 teams like Silver Creek, Berthoud, Longmont -- we've played them all and have been in a position to win in the fourth quarter in every one of those games, and we finally got the job done. We had an incredible third quarter. |
I feel the sky's the limit for me. I try to approach every game not really worrying about press and accolades. I pray before every game, and all I ask is to never cut myself short. That's what I try to take into every practice, every game. And I see good things coming out of this. |
I felt like our press was working fine, but I felt like we were not composed offensively. All we had to do was step it up on offense and be a little more selective with where we were shooting to make it look the way it should for the amount of effort we were putting in on defense. |
I felt really good with the one-on-ones and it's not going to change anything if I skip some steps, so I might as well get in five-on-five practices. My main thing is to make sure I'm healthy. Personally, I feel pretty good. I'm not choosing this on behalf of anyone else's injury. |
I felt that we had reached a point where it was in the best interests of both the club and Paul that this decision should be made. I hope our supporters will never forget the euphoria created when he joined the club. He must have been the most high-profile signing ever made by us. |

I figured it was better to have fresh arms come Tuesday. We were just not fresh. While we were playing all these games, other teams had four days off. I told the guys to go home and not think about baseball for a few days. Go play golf or do whatever. Then we'll start it up again. |
I got a sweet little telephone call from my director to the general effect that we can't fall behind in our schedule... I had to go-and leave behind me all the pleasures of a snow-white bed, and candy and flowers, and the other lovely things that make illness a positive privilege. |
I got into some situations last year, and I just felt in my heart that maybe I was being too aggressive. [This year] I really just stayed cautious. I didn't want to be aggressive. I didn't want to block anybody. And then at the end, [I] got really aggressive and raced for the win. |
I guess I wouldn't have believed it. But it's been a pleasure being part of the rebuilding process, being a piece of the puzzle as we built a championship team. It was nice being part of that and being able to win three Stanley Cups and sort of put hockey on the map in New Jersey. |
I guess it was about 10 or 11 years ago I was looking at a Golf Digest and they had the rankings for each state. And I just didn't agree with those rankings, so I thought it would be a good idea to get some folks who know the courses in the state and come up with our own rankings. |
I guess you're looking for an `I told you so,' but bygones are bygones, ... If I had to do it all over again, I'd go back to North Carolina. I'm not going to blame it all on the coaches. I didn't always run to the right hole, or I tried to do more than the play was supposed to be. |
I had been going to school at St. Michael's for six years since Grade 7 and schooling and playing for the Buzzers (of the Provincial Jr. A league) was a good mix that I wanted to keep going. Balancing hockey and school at a place like St. Mike's, I did not know anything different. |
I had high hopes we could come together under these circumstances and push through a deal. It had everything to do with the time frame. But more important than anything, we were probably able to speak with a lot more candor these last two days than we have over the last few years. |
I hate it because there's too much dead time. They don't do anything. I mean if sleeping was a sport these guys would be first-team All-American. So what happens is when there's so much dead time you've got to try to get them to understand that you've got to fill that time wisely. |
