He was just a wonderful person, a jokester, professional at his job, a great partner and teammate. We were partners on every mission. (I remember) his warm heart and his excitement to be at work every day. He always had something new for you when he walked in the door of the office. |
He was kind of the backbone of our Doomsday defenses. He kind of coached like he played. He was a hard-working, hard-trying individual who had a lot of patience in developing young players. He was easy-going and well-liked. The thing with him was that he made everybody feel at home. |
He will bring a remarkably articulate perception to the educational mission of the school, a remarkably wide-ranging knowledge of the international and New York art worlds, and I think a personality that will fit in well with the faculty of the school and the students of the school. |
He'd come in and play piano jazz with the band until the A&R man and the producer would go, 'Are you guys ready in there yet?' And he said, 'Well, in just a while.' We'd be jamming. He wouldn't pay any attention to it. I remember the session -- (it was for) Lazy Hazy Days Of Summer. |
He's a good receiver. He talked the talk and he backed it up. All you can do is respect that. A lot of his trash talk is for entertainment and the media portrays it for something worse than it really is. He's really not a bad guy and out on the field, he's just out there having fun. |
He's a guy that I think the sky is the limit for him. He's strong, he's fast and he just needs to get reps and get some confidence going and get to the point where he knows what he's doing inside and out so he can cut it loose. But hopefully he can get healed up and get ready to go. |
He's a load, man. He's not the biggest guy, but he runs really hard and he's tough to tackle. He has great balance and really great lower-body strength. You're not going to get him down just by pulling on him. I thought ... he was definitely harder to tackle than J.J. Arrington was. |
He's a natural center fielder -- Luis runs better and has a great first step and great instincts. There aren't too many guys in the National League, period, that cover more ground than Terrero does out there. Shawn's done a good job, but Luis is defensively pretty special out there. |
He's a proud guy and a professional. To be honest with you, I'm not so sure the game off was the difference. We could have had a chat about it, and I think he would have come out and done everything he could to be the same player he was [Wednesday]. I thought he responded real well. |
He's an amazing man. Here is a man of unbelievable character... who has his ideals and philosophies about life and does not waiver from them. They are a combination of... a strong work ethic, giving back to the community, believing strongly in education. I could go on and on and on. |
He's been an outstanding kid to have in our program. I think (finishing second) is quite an accomplishment. It's been a joy to have him. It just kind of breaks your heart when you've got to lose a kid like Wes. Going into next year he's the only guy we lose. But I can't replace him. |
He's been in positions with teams that run a scheme that I like. I've always had a lot of respect for it. It's specific. It follows a teaching progression, I like that. You play fast in it, I like all those things. I trust Perry. It's time for him. I think he'll do a tremendous job. |
He's by far the most valuable player of this team. We have a young end to our defense. He's a great role model for the guys. When he was called up, those two games he missed, it was a grind without him. He plays a lot of minutes and plays them to a 'T.' He's invaluable to this team. |
He's definitely hurting; there's no question about that. He's been taking some shots all season, and his body is feeling it. At the same time, I know what type of a warrior he is, and he battles through a lot of things. You can never count him out when things like this are going on. |
He's matured as a player. He has worked hard with (associate coach) Bob (Nash) with a lot of extra stuff to try to improve his scoring output. He's called on to defend a smaller, quicker guy most of the time, too. Some nights he got hurt with it, but most of the time he's been good. |
