I take four to five months off because there's a chance that every Sunday, Jason could go to the hospital before he comes home. I don't need to be off in Botswana somewhere where I don't even have a phone and I can't find out how many broken ribs he has. That doesn't strike me as healthy. |
I take pride in the fact that I am 38 and I'm still playing, and not just cashing a check, ... I'm playing and I'm still athletic and I can run around and do the things I like to do. And hopefully I'll turn 40 and still be doing it. That's a hell of an achievement as far as I'm concerned. |
I tell you, Yitzhak, that you are fallen dead but your spirit and will are stronger than ever, ... So today I pledge to you, to all our neighbors, and to the whole world, to travel the course you charted and to finish the journey you have led towards security and peace in the Middle East. |
I think anytime you play at that level, it's going to carry over. Along with Angela and Kelly, you know, we have eight seniors who have experienced that and nine kids who haven't. They will be able to share that experience and help them realize what it will take to get back to that point. |
I think he gets how big this thing is for me. And how important this thing is for me. Every inning. Every out. Every pitch. How that affects him, I don't know. But he's very intelligent, and things don't get lost on him. If you're talking pitching and he thinks it will help, he'll use it. |
I think he is very committed to this issue and he's very passionate about improving the criminal justice system, as he spoke about [during the event]. I believe he feels that it's critical, and given his experience, I think he can play a role in helping to change what is an unjust system. |
I think he's a tremendous addition. His track record speaks for itself. His defense, with the Gold Gloves, he's a guy who can hit 30 home runs. We don't know how Barry will react with his knee. Having a guy with the track record and power and the all-around game he has is a huge addition. |
I think he's going to be fine. He had a concussion but there are grades of concussions. If I showed him a picture of a truck he would say it's a truck and not a butterfly right now. He's pretty lucid. They'll do more tests on him but they seem to think he's going to be fine for next week. |
I think he's got a picture of what he wants this program to be and how he can build on something that's obviously been successful under coach Alvarez. He'll have success, but I think it will be different because he'll be able to put his stamp on it. But hopefully it will continue to grow. |
I think I eventually want to teach first or second grade. I've always liked little kids, and it's been easy for me to relate to them. I don't think I'd want to teach middle or high school. I remember how I was then, and it doesn't seem like the older kids give young teachers much respect. |
I think I was feeling a bit for my pitches in the first two innings. I started letting a couple pitches go a little bit later, and it helped out a lot. I was able to throw a couple harder than normal. It makes your offspeed stuff more effective. I don't know if my arm loosened up or what. |
I think I'll probably write something, a family drama. I'm good at frame works and plots, but my dialogue is atrocious. It gets very over-wrought. My husband's a writer and his dialogue is brilliant, so, I'm very often his script-editor, so I think we'll probably write something together. |
I think in many ways they torment mainstream Americans because we worry sometimes that they may be happier than we are without some of the conveniences that we have. We worry maybe they are really happier than we are or maybe they really are doing better socially and mentally than we are. |
