I just thanked him. Not just because he's a good player, but because of the person he is. He has never been anything but a source of pride for Beaver Falls. Kids like that don't come along every day. There are going to be other good players here, but there is never going to be another Lance. |
I just tried to talk to her and get her to settle down after that first big jump, because she was jumping all over the place in celebration afterwards. It's like hitting a home run in baseball. The next time at bat, you swing so hard you can't even see the ball. I wanted her to stay focused. |
I just want to ask President Bush one question, ... What if Texas, or any part of the United States, were to come under foreign occupation? Would you call upon the American people to surrender to this occupation? For God's sake, what should have been vetoed last night was Israeli occupation. |
I knew I had to pick it up a notch, and that all comes with getting my body stronger, ... I'm not worried about anything. I just feel I'm more mature and understand the game better. I understand the system better, and I know what coach wants, so I'm attacking because I'm 100-percent healthy. |
I knew that if we lost today it would be KG's and Shaun's last game. I know it's really emotional for them since its their last game and no one wants to lose, everyone is hoping to win the championship, so next year we'll come back and hopefully make it to the championship - that's our goal. |
I know a lot of people were disappointed with how they came back. I think that's a good thing that people felt like that. I like that our team is showing that we've got a killer instinct and we're not going to be satisfied with just winning, even if it is against a good team like Notre Dame. |
I know for a fact we haven't played better than this in two years than we did today against a real, real, real good team. Some days we have played better defense, some days we have played better offense, but today was one of those magical days where everything just seemed to go right for us. |
I know that you've got to watch yourself with that offensive line. They're going to chop you and cut you. Alex Gibbs is a 'consultant.' His whole philosophy is, 'Whatever we can do that they won't call.' Now, there's a lot of gray area in there, so they're chopping people all over the place. |
I learned a lot in the last three years ... especially about the business side of hockey. I'm proud of the work I've done and I was glad to be involved. But I just think it's time for me to move on. This was a tough three years ... especially last year because nobody wanted to be locked out. |
I like a light touch, a sensitive piano. My wrists aren't that strong, and if I have to hack too hard, they start breaking down. Fortunately, after playing something like that I take a break and have a drink, or move over to the accordion, or just stagger off the stage until my arms recover. |
I look to writers like Edith Wharton, ... Writers who were so specific about the things surrounding their characters, down to the kind of wine and the china, etc. It's a way of locating your characters in their universe ... when you mention a brand name, people know who you're talking about. |
I love him. He's probably one of the favorite coaches that I've had. He's the type of person I want coaching me. He's not too uptight. He's not in your face. He enjoys other things instead of just football. He's very good on the sideline if things are going wrong and people are freaking out. |

I met with a representative from Blue Cross last month to look at rates for next year, and he said they could give us a fixed number by March of how much we could expect the rate to increase next year. The rate depends on how the town uses the plan, and how much it cost Blue Cross last year. |
I might be scaring him. Maybe it's my fault to go there and air him out. I might take the blame because all of a sudden I went out to air him out and said not good stuff to him. I might surprise him and scare him and all of a sudden he loses what he has. It's maybe my fault to do what I did. |
