The vultures who come to the first preview are not going to see a show that's in perfect shape. But we have four weeks of previews, and it's a question of how you make the best use of them. Of course the show has gotten better. I am confident in everybody in the cast, and audiences are loving it. |
The way this seems to be working, it's not explosive, it's smoldering. A case here, a case there. It's not a cause for alarm. It's something we're certainly worried about, something we're tracking and following. We're hopeful that the additional cases that will show up eventually will be minimal. |
The way this thing is built right now, we'll have played five different games against five different teams. You've just got to do a good job putting together good scouting reports. But at some point, you've got to just focus on what we do and try to do that a little better than what they do well. |
The whole week when this happened, I kept wondering, 'Why did this happen?' But everything really does happen for a reason. I'm so excited to have this opportunity. Being at Princeton is so exciting. Being treated like a member of the student body is really great and really gracious of Princeton. |
The young guys need a validation of beating Michael in a wheel-to-wheel race, which they will do now because they're younger, more committed probably than Michael is, ... I'm not saying Michael's not committed, but he's 36. Wheel to wheel, the young guy's going to win, I have no doubt about that. |
Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem, / When the king of Babylon's army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities remained of the cities of Judah. |
There are many, many different stories. This could be a fabulous historic site. With the nice concentration of Fort Laramie, the Oregon Trail ruts and the Sunrise Mine, I think this could be a really good heritage tourism area. There is enough here for a special trip to these places for tourists. |
There are new standards ? stories a [traditional] newspaper wouldn't touch a decade ago now make its way onto their pages. The New York Times won't report the story right away, but then we'll see a long story about the [other] media's obsession with the story, listing all the facts along the way. |
There are so many things that we need to improve upon and continue the momentum that we're building in our program -- which is playing better and better week after week. We did that three weeks in a row and now have had a bye week. We don't want any hiccups, even though we'll probably have a few. |
there are some very hard aspects of this that take longer. We are an overseas organization. We are an organization that requires what I would call sacrifice of quality of life. ... We are looking for specific people that we think will fit our needs. And that means an aggressive recruiting effort. |
There are the ones who have a lot of land and want to be annexed because they want the sewer to make the land more valuable and the lots smaller. Then there are the people with homes with working septic tanks that don't see why they should pay to hook into a sewer system they don't intend to use. |
There are times we look like the Packers of old, motoring down the field and stopping them on defense. And then there are more times where it just looks like guys are going in separate directions. You've got to play the game with passion and fervor, and I'm not sure we're giving it all we've got. |
There comes a point where we have to have some people step up and play as well as they can and make sure that their teammates aren't trying to do too much. And you have to respect people around you. That's a lack of trust if you don't think other people can do the job that you try to do too much. |
There has been nothing like this since the student-led anti-apartheid movement of the 1980s. We expect... another wave [of students] throughout the summer of 2006, and for as long as it takes to rebuild that region for all the people who need help, who want to return, and should not be forgotten. |
There is a perception that the Chinese started out downtrodden and abused in the 19th century and gradually rose to the top of society as model minorities, and you see them winning Nobel Prizes and getting into our best colleges. But it is not a linear progression. Things don't always get better. |
