It is undeniable that unprecedented numbers of government whistleblowers face retaliation with no adequate protections. We are stunned that the Congress is offended to hear the truth about its failure to help whistleblowers and are even punishing their own seasoned researchers for talking about it. |
It just feels amazing right now, but we know we just have to concentrate on tomorrow. There are going to be great pitchers going at it tomorrow and we know it's going to be a lot of fun. The way our 'pen is throwing the ball right now, we just have to get after it like we know we can and have been. |
It just took me a while to get used to the new stadium, ... I didn't hit a ball the last two days until my warm-up today. I just wanted to have a couple days off without touching the racquet. Didn't want to have anything to do with tennis. I think you just have to get used to it a little bit again. |
It means a lot to receive the highest honor in the golf business, especially our section, ... I want to thank the members of the Emerald Bay community for the opportunity to serve the PGA. It is a commitment from the Country Club. They allow me to take time away from the club and I appreciate them. |
It provides us with an excellent opportunity to really honor the amazing organizing efforts of the thousands of women and men who worked to secure the right to vote. It links the generations in appreciating what was done before us, acknowledges how far we have come and what work remains to be done. |
It sounds simple, but when we do get our chances against New England (they've been stingy all year) we have to execute. On the other side of the ball, they have some very good players attacking-wise. They've done a job all year of using all their snipers. We have to be aware and deny them the ball. |
It was a busy three months there at the end of the season from the Olympics. There was lots of hockey. So a little injury, it didn't really hurt me that way. It was nothing serious. So a little break, it's always good, especially when we're playing that many games in a short time span. I feel good. |
It was a combination of people I've been involved with - my high school coach and especially my college coach, who instilled a lot of character. I picked up on a lot of different things that worked for me in high school and college that fit into the type person I was - and the girls bought into it. |
It was a great comeback. The biggest positive was that we showed we could win by committee. We were a team and we were helping each other. Everyone did what was needed to get the momentum on our side. Volleyball is a game of momentum and you need to do everything to turn the momentum in your favor. |
It was awesome for our girls. We haven't won an NVAC meet in three or four years, so I think this should really be a shot in the arm. And for our boys to be that close to U-32 is impressive. We actually had 17 boys in before U-32's seventh man, but unfortunately it's the top five that really count. |
It was fun, they're good kids, they take it well. They're a big part of our team. It's fun to be able to do it to guys that you like and have them enjoy it and have everybody enjoy it. There's a lot of good chemistry [on the team]. We had that last year and it continued with the new guys coming in. |
It was just a solid team effort from start to finish. Our guards did an unbelievable job on Allen Iverson, staying in front of him, making it tough for him. I thought one of the keys tonight was to attack the paint, to control the boards, to control the free throw line and to take care of the ball. |
It was supposed to be such a big moment for integration, but that's all just BS. The game was in College Park, Md., and I was here at the time and nobody was talking about it as a big deal. Sure, in the Black community, we quietly said, 'Good,' but nobody was running around saying how great it was. |
It was the classic game of two halves. I was in complete control and Steve wasn't playing great. I had every chance to close it out nice and early but then I played poorly in the middle and then he was probably disappointed not to win being one up with two to play. Fortunately, I was the lucky one. |
