What strikes me as the most burdensome of this requirement of mandatory pregnancy is that it imposes on a woman that she use her body in a certain way. We're all required to pay taxes, etc., but we're not required to do with our body things we don't want to do. ... It is a striking anomaly in the law. |

What we have right now is a situation where, with my having access to the military, bringing in the National Guard troops, securing the area, we'll be able to continue the relief efforts that we have been doing over the last several days, ... We'll be able to ramp those up and continue the evacuation. |

What you're discussing today could be a perfect complement not only to the proposed energy school but also to the Ruckelshaus Institute and Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources, and other ongoing university initiatives, by linking the College of Business and high-level business executives. |
What you've got is two prideful franchises, two powerful teams, that have a lot of respect for each other but don't really like each other a whole lot, ... They're a fun team to play. You want to play the best and, basically, they've dominated the NFC. If you're a competitor, that's the team you want. |
When he becomes involved in something, he becomes very involved. He becomes very passionate and takes his involvement in a deeply personal way. Sometimes Allan might seem like he's got a hard shell, but once you crack that shell, he's one of the most compassionate, caring people I've ever worked with. |
When I hit it, I hit it well. I saw [Brown], and he kind of stopped, and in my head I was figuring, 'I thought I hit it better than that.' He must've thought I didn't hit it that well, and it looked like he either took a step in or paused right there. It was fortunate for me that it got over his head. |
When I made a quick decision to fly down to my old airport and do a fly-by, you can imagine what I was thinking.... I could now be the guy who seemed to explode out of nowhere doing a high-speed afterburner pass, leaving a lasting impression on a young kid.... Talk about the circle being completed.... |
When I talked to evacuees, one of the things that struck me was that so many of them were saying, 'As terrible as this was, this may have given me the opportunity to reassess my own life and to think differently about what opportunities are available to me,' ... That, to me, is the great untold story. |
When my coach told me I was drafted I was really excited. It's a chance for me to keep doing what I love best. Losing out on the Olympics was sad, not just for me, but for a lot of little girls out there playing softball. That was always a goal of mine. That's life, I have to move on with this chance. |
When some of their sons started to have a hard time academically, it was a time of angst. The change into a bigger setting made it even more difficult. And you still have the bitterness of how it was done. It was done summarily and quickly and without recourse. And that left a very, very bitter taste. |
When somebody, usually a teacher, says, 'The child is a little slower than we'd like to see with reading,' or a mother says, 'All my other kids will read a book at any opportunity, and this one doesn't like to read. He likes sports.' Then you find out sometimes that the children have a visual problem. |
