The frustrating thing for me is there was a recognition by the Legislature that districts losing students needed some additional assistance, and they're going to get more money. But they're not providing additional funds to those districts gaining students and need it right now. It's an amazing dichotomy. |
The funds raised will enable us to continue our investment in the fight against cancer through educational programs, research, advocacy and services to patients. Due to the generosity of corporate and individual sponsors, the money raised goes directly to the American Cancer Society's lifesaving programs. |
The governor fully expected that the $1.5 million is inadequate for county needs. But it is an initial amount that counties will be able to begin to tap into as they apply for funding. Options are being explored. Many things are being looked at. There could be further emergency declarations in the future. |
The governor is a great speech maker and if speech making and high-flying rhetoric were things that make this state great, Michigan would be back. I'm an optimist, too. But after three years of lack of results, I wonder if the people of Michigan are getting tired of being told they have to wait some more. |

The Grow Green program, which is a joint program of Extension and the City of Austin Watershed Protection Development Review, has produced a free guide on weeds that's available to anyone with an interest in gardening. It's a nice, full-color publication with lots of useful information for home gardeners. |
The growing complexity coupled with heavy competition is placing significant pressure on network equipment manufacturers to quickly bring to market high quality systems. Test systems that are focused on improving the testing cycle and reducing time to market are critical for the success of system vendors. |
The hardest thing that I've had to deal with is the understanding that I can't do everything. I just don't think that the driver can run the team anymore. I think he needs to be able to concentrate on driving.?The competition level is so big now, I need to focus on racing, not on the logistics part of it. |

The holographic disk promises to retail for $100, and by 2010, it will have capacity of 1.6TB each. That's pretty inexpensive. Even this first version can store 300GB per disk, and it has 160MB/sec. data throughput rates. That's burning. Then combine it with random access, and it's the best of all worlds. |
The inclusion of an extreme right-wing party ... in the government of a European country such as Austria should outrage every citizen of the free world, ... The Jewish nation overall, and the state of Israel at its head, will not allow the world to go on its way in the face of the developments in Austria. |
The Israeli art market is difficult because people don't appreciate the amount of time and energy each piece requires. They see a piece and think it's made out of newspaper so they evaluate its worth based only on the material. They don't realize that I make every piece of it and that it takes many hours. |
The issues surrounding spam are very different in the corporate environment than they are for ISPs. ISPs are worried about the resource drain in having to send and store spam, and they're worried about the churn in subscribers caused by spam. With corporations, the problems are liability and productivity. |
The JP was not sanctioned to endorse a specification developed in private by a handful of silicon companies. The difference is the fact that [EWC] agreed to create silicon, and they've said they will create silicon and push that silicon interoperability specification regardless of what happens in 802.11n. |
The last couple games we've gotten things back on track a little bit and we've got to keep going in that vein. We still are not in (the playoffs). We have a long way to go. We're going to have to win our way in because everybody else we're fighting against has got favorable schedules and are playing well. |
