If it sells well, our hope is McDonald's will embrace this across their entire system and all 13,000 stores will convert to Fair Trade in the next year or two. With McDonald's, I think that sends a very powerful signal to the entire industry. Fair Trade is here to stay and mainstream Americans are concerned with fairness and they are willing to buy it. |

If only we could do like the old video tapes; able to rewind and fast forward life. I wish we could rewind March 31, 2005 and there would be no need for us to be here. The trial is like rewinding and we are stuck not moving forward. If there is a resolution maybe it will help all who loved these three, and little Alex, who survived, move forward again. |
If the Roberts' confirmation is a foregone conclusion, why look like a knee-jerk obstructionist? ... It's far better to preserve the appearance of being fair-minded and try to convince the president he has a chance to get your vote if he nominates someone to your liking. It also gives you the ability to oppose the next nominee with greater credibility. |
If you don't have the fertilizer and don't have the seed, I can tell you what, none of it will happen. If we are going to compete with the Third World on low-cost labor, we're going to lose, so that's not a good strategy. ... But you do have to have jobs for people that fit that category - not everybody in the state is going to be a computer scientist. |

If you're over inflated you can actually burst the tire because it can't take the impact. If you're under inflated the biggest thing is heat. Heat is the biggest enemy of a tire because that's how a tire is made. It's heated to come together, to bring all the parts together. When you reheat it, the parts come apart. That's when you have a tire failure. |
If, then, women were properly fitted by instruction, they would be likely to teach children better than the other sex; they could afford to do it cheaper; and those men who would otherwise be engaged in this employment might be at liberty to add to the wealth of the nation, by any of those thousand occupations from which women are necessarily debarred. |
In fact, we've never turned an airline away, and we would love to see them come in. In the bottom line, it's going to be a business decision on the parts of those airlines. They want to put their planes where they think they can make the most money on them. I don't expect the Northwest bankruptcy declaration to have a material impact on their decision. |
In my opinion he's one of the best thirds in the world. For him to have a game like this, it basically puts him on the map, no questions asked. I'm so proud of him. I've seen him probably play a better super league game back home at the club, but to play it in the Olympics, with millions of people watching, you couldn't ask for a better game than that. |
In the 100 days until the UN world conference on small arms starts, an estimated 100,000 people will be killed with arms and many more will be injured and suffer severely in other ways from armed violence. Today, people from Kenya to Canada to Chile will be calling on their leaders to demand global controls to stop weapons falling into the wrong hands. |
In the 1980's or 1990's, university graduates were destined to have decent jobs, as they were in urgent demand after the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976), during which university education was suspended. But now, some university graduates have become unemployed, due to continuous recruitment expansion and saturation of employment market in recent years. |
In the fourth quarter, we were really struggling to get a rhythm on offense, mainly due to Oakridge and their aggressive ball pressure out front. In a time out, I told the girls we needed someone to step up and make a play. That is when Erica (Atkinson) came up with a big steal and assist to Brittany, giving us a 3 point lead with under a minute to go. |
In the old days, we used to be like that, but it's been different for us, definitely. We won in Buffalo Saturday and didn't practice (Sunday), so we had a whole day off and didn't see each other except for about 45 minutes this morning. But I think everybody deep down knew that it was the Flyers coming in and we wanted to make sure we had our 'A' game. |
