I look at it, that's what you're here to do. You're here to put yourself on the line like that unless it's just hideous to do it. That's what football's about. Most of the time you're not going to play healthy, you're going to be in some type of pain. I believe a lot of times your value and your legacy and consistency depends on how well you deal with things. |

I really don't know where they got those numbers. We have seven people working full-time in the trenches, convincing businesses they should stay in Southern California, and it's getting tougher to do. States are offering a lot more incentives than they used to. Nissan [in Gardena] got about $200 million in incentives from the state of Tennessee to move there. |
I remember her sitting at the dining room table with the bills. She had everything balanced to the penny. If she was two cents off, she kept trying to figure it out until she found it. She also kept buying all these insurance policies on myself and my sister. I still have one of them. We kept trying to explain to her that she should have insurance on herself. |
I subbed too early on offense. In that first half we played 34, 35 kids. It was nice to get so many kids on the field, but sometimes a positive can turn into a negative and I think that's what happened tonight. We sputtered a little bit and got out of sync. Football's all about timing and it's hard to get timing down when you play five or six different backs. |

I think he's gotten a little bit spread out. Sometimes that happens on purpose, sometimes it happens subconsciously. I think it's slowed his bat down just a tick. It will be interesting to see how long that lasts. My bet is that it doesn't last very long, we'll be all right. Again, if we're worried about Manny hitting, the world is good, we're going to be OK. |
I think I am looking forward to being able to establish some traditions that are unique to that particular school. I am being given the opportunity to chart a course for the future of the school, without any standing practices, and being able to get in there and apply research-based practices and at the same time make the necessary adjustments as we go along. |
I think it is really important if you have any kind of vision for going to the championship game of the tournament because four days, four games is a very difficult task. It's been done, but at the same time, it's a lot easier if you have the chance to play three back-to-back games instead so I'm very proud of my team for finishing in the top four in the ACC. |
I think it just took a couple wins, just a couple successes. Not going out and having bad things happen all the time. Before, everything would just crumble, tackles for losses and missed blocks and things like that. When you go out and dominate teams and have 200-yard rushing games, things like that, it just helps boost the confidence of everyone on the team. |
I think it's gradually gotten less awkward, from my freshman year until now. It's not really as awkward as it's made out to be. On certain [throws] it is, and one of the reasons to me is that if the guy's open five yards in front of me, you get it to him as quick as you can. There's no reason to make it look good, as long as it gets where it's supposed to be. |
I think maybe my favorite play of the whole game, besides running it in the red zone, was the posse that was in front of Darius on that screen pass, ... All three receivers were there; linemen were there; tight ends were there. I mean, everybody was there, and it brings a smile to the coaches' faces when you see that many guys hustling until the play is over. |
I think that the lesson of this hurricane, which we will clearly look at as we go over an after-action evaluation, is going to be very valuable in moving forward. I mean, this was an ultra-catastrophe, but we have to be prepared even for ultra-catastrophes, even things that happen once in a lifetime and once in a generation. So, yes, we will be studying that. |
I think that when we are dead, we are worm food, I don't believe there is a greater place. I don't believe there is a greater purpose or a greater being. I have none of that. I wish I did to some degree, because the older I'm getting, the more I am aware of death and the inevitability of it, and it frightens me now, in a way that it didn't when I was younger. |
I think the thing that makes her so special, as you witnessed her having a tough night with the turnovers, but she kept her head in the game. And how many freshmen do you know who would, or any player, let's not tab her as a freshman, make that many mistakes and still be able to keep their head in the game and stay poised and knock down some really key shots? |
