In consumer electronics, ease-of-use is essential for users. The USB-IF created Certified Wireless USB to retain the same plug-and-play capabilities as wired USB. The association models spec enables manufactures to build host solutions that will allow one host to connect with up to 127 devices from different manufacturers -- all built on the Certified Wireless USB technology. |
In front end crashes, well-designed vehicles have front ends that crumple to absorb the energy and strong occupant compartments that resist intrusion, ... This allows restrained occupants to be decelerated without injury. In contrast, there is virtually no crush space on the sides of vehicles. So in serious side crashes some intrusion is inevitable but it should be minimized. |
In my life as an artist, I follow what I call my 'inner directive' because you can never predict what the world is going to do. You can never predict how people are going to respond to what you do. What I have to do is just trust what's sending me down a road of creative inquiry is important to me and somehow that will make it into a piece of work that is important to others. |
In recent months, both General Motors and Ford have announced plans to close numerous facilities, eliminating roughly 2.4 million units of North American capacity through 2008. We estimate that once these restructuring initiatives are complete, North American capacity for the 'traditional' Big Three will likely drop below 10 million units, down from over 12.5 million in 2005. |
In this situation, we solely relied on Kurt's opinion of him. Obviously he coached him. He had great things to say about him, thought he had terrific potential, had some injury issues that we are hoping and think are cleared up at this point. He's still rough around the edges, but he's a competitive guy with a lot of ability that we think in short order can contribute for us. |
Injuries are a major public health problem in Nebraska resulting in significant numbers of deaths, hospitalizations, and emergency department visits. From 1999 to 2003, injuries overall, including unintentional and intentional injuries, were the fourth leading cause of death in Nebraska. For Nebraskans age 1 to 34 years, unintentional injuries were the leading cause of death. |
Investors have to be patient. You still have to ride the winners at this point, which are usually found in technology. I think you need to be a little bit more defensive in where you are in tech and biotech. But you have to wait until you get that correction and prices stay down. Until then, the money is hot right now and the hot money is going back to many of the same names. |
It allows officers to see that they do matter and are not just doing a job. Too much of this job is ugliness. As a police officer, you get the feeling ?Why am I doing this?? Well, when you get to spend time with a child and see how much they do look up to you, it?s a great feeling and reminds you that we, as police officers, have the honor of having the best job in the world. |
It always feels good to score the first one -- even though it took me nine months to get it, ... We just screwed up on the goal we gave up. Besides that, it was good soccer. We kept playing well and today, finally, we buried a team. That's what we have been missing. Once we had the lead, the question was, could we get that third goal, could we get that fourth goal? We did it. |
It really helps any time you have it. The coach is the authority figure, and you've got to be able to communicate with players. Over the course of seven months, things are going to happen, and you've got to deal with those situations. The main thing is the players know that I respect them. It's because of that mutual respect that we're able to deal with any kind of situation. |
It seems like we're in the late game an unusual amount of times compared to maybe some other schools. I guess that's a good thing that people want us to be in that game. Or maybe they're trying to keep women and children from being exposed to some of the stuff that we do on the court, and hoping everybody's asleep by the time we play. I do think it's difficult on the players. |
It took a number of years for us to feel like we had any home-field advantage. For the first three years we didn't play well at home. I think that it was all still a work in progress, a transition. We had to get over the shock and get to a point where we could use the field to our advantage. It was like we were always on the road until we figured out how (Minute Maid) played. |
It was just one of those extraordinary seasons where anything that could go wrong did. Last year it was just the total opposite. Everything went so smoothly with us - we didn't have any injuries and had lots of veteran leadership, and this year we lost a lot of our veterans and it hurt us a lot. But the guys hung in there and during the last three weeks we played pretty well. |
It was really a good defensive game, at the net as well as in the back row. Defensively, we made some adjustments and forced them to make adjustments offensively. I was very pleased with that. They hit hard line a couple times and we adjusted and dug that up. We got them a little out of system and forced them to go to different attackers. (Penn's) defense was a little better. |
