All of us at the symphony have a great relationship with Nicola's. It's a fabulous Italian restaurant and a great date place for beforehand. We always take all of our guest artists there for an after-concert dinner. And of course there are many downtown places like Bella, Palomino or Shanghai Mama's. If you want something very simple there is Washington Platform - this is actually a big CSO musician lunch place. |
All summer I kept hearing negative talk about him. I think he's staying because this is his passion. He focuses on basketball. He doesn't travel. He just wants to teach basketball. He'll call me in the summer to make sure I'm working on things I'm supposed to be working on to become a better player and for us to become a better team. Basketball is his life. All he does is talk basketball, basketball, basketball. |
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; / That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. |
And now, when comes the calm mild day, as still such days will come,
To call the squirrel and the bee from out their winter home; When the sound of dropping nuts is heard, though all the trees are still, And twinkle in the smoky light the waters of the rill, The south wind searches for the flowers whose fragrance late he bore, And sighs to find them in the wood and by the stream no more. |
And on the second day ye shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot: / And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: / And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering thereof, and their drink offerings. |
And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; / Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? / For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. |
And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers, / From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation, / Even those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty. |
Are they bad mistakes by the goalie? No. But are they goals that we expect Marty to stop? Yes. And that's the difference. We can be an average or below-average goalie and just wallow along, or we can we be a really good one and give our team a chance to win, and that's the responsibility we need Marty to take. And he's done it in the past, so it's not as if we're asking for something that we don't know is there. |
Arlen Specter, (Indiana GOP Rep.) Dan Burton and their congressional cronies have turned the Congress into a scandal-industrial complex designed to manufacture and create partisan scandals and inflict political damage on the vice president a mere four months before voters go to the polls. It's clear for all to see that this constitutes Republican political skullduggery, GOP chicanery and Republican dirty tricks. |
As far as our ability to expand or enhance community policing, we have been stifled since coming into office by severe budget constraints, and that has led some to unfairly portray this administration as not being supportive of enhanced community policing. Quite frankly, it has been tough trying to match or keep up with the varying community policing definitions that have been offered in the last several months. |
As we look to the future, and all of these data types become increasingly intertwined, locked-in formats like OpenDocument are not well suited to address these varying data types - as the proposed policy itself acknowledges. It's this need for choice and flexibility that led Microsoft to design Office in a way that supports any XML schemas that a customer chooses, a capability lacking in less functional formats. |
At last I will be able to walk on the pavements, use the road and even have to look for a police officer once more in the town where I live. Please BBC, tell your managers and the politicians that you were not welcome this year and I don't want you to come back. Let New Labour, the Tories and LibDems go and spend other people's money somewhere else and not disrupt the lives of the people of this town ever again. |
Because before he came up, we talked about it being a one-game situation. He made it easy for me, because it's not easy to tell somebody like that, that, 'We're sending you right back,' because he's done everything we asked him to do. I thought he reached another level mentally. ... I believe once the mental mechanics are in order, the physical mechanics follow. He's getting real close to being here a long time. |
Because of all the activities and the meeting space required, when we go into a city we try to look for a minimum of a three-year commitment. It's a big project. Being a small organization staff-wise, we can't reinvent the wheel. It helps us not to be looking three years down the line when planning this year. Plus, having a longer commitment gives us more bargaining power, and we have very good attendance rates. |
