 For a short hike, I like to do a loop on the Mica View and Cactus Forest trails. It's a two-mile loop. It's really pretty and it's an easy walk.

 There's a 10k (6.2-mile) hike, a 5k (just over three miles) and a short, interpretive hike around the perimeter of the lake, led by a naturalist.

 It was very difficult. I wasn't coming back with an easy jump, with the triple loop, which I also slammed in the warm-up. I was able to believe when everything was dark and gray. The music carried me through. It goes beyond an athletic event, goes to emotional experience.
