The first time was an accident. The second time (Saturday) is for speeding. I was rushing to school in November. Of course then I was really late.

We responded to the balcony accident and an auto-pedestrian accident around the same time - at about 3 a.m. Saturday. It was busy early Saturday.

We constantly work radar on Montrose, but you can't work it every day, and when we leave, the speeding starts up again. This accident didn't involve speeding, but the street is one where speeding is a problem.

I found out that there was a hunting accident ... late Saturday night. But it was a member in his party. But I did not know who was involved in that hunting accident.

If we had more of a feel (on Saturday) for how it was going to play out, we probably could have gotten going with a late start on Saturday. But we didn't know that at the time.

We are thankful that no one was injured in the accident. During our 10 seconds of quite reflection time this morning we reflected on the accident and we reminded our students of the difficult task that our bus drivers have transporting our precious cargo to and from school.

I don't know what time they usually get up, but I felt it would be a good thing. After practicing and then getting to school at eight, by the time nine o'clock comes, it should seem like a late time.

I remember in the late '60s and early '70s [we] couldn't wear pants to school. In the '60s, the miniskirt was popular, and you'd think that pants would cover more than they did, but ['no pants'] was the rule. Gradually, things became more relaxed. We also had two lounges — one for smokers and one for non-smokers. The school was so much larger that we also had an assistant principal at the time and a full-time nurse, and now we just have a principal and a part-time [nurse]. We [also] had no library at our school site. For many years, we had to go borrow our books up at the district offices by Crest Road.

I started so late in the season, I just wanted to score 30 on one play. I just wanted to do everything all at once and rushing, rushing, and rushing. I realized if I calmed down, the game will come to me.

Given more time, Sober.z would have dominated the chart, but its emergence in late November prevented it from taking pole position.

I think from the outside, things look worse than they are. But those of us on the teams and working on it everyday know how close we have all been to having a completely different season up to this point. You get in an accident that wasn't your fault. Or get caught speeding down pit road. Or have a mechanical problem that wasn't really anyone's doing. Every team is going to have their share of those types of things before the year is over with. If it does, then everything will balance out, and we'll be back in it in no time.

I sat her one time, just to make an example out of her. It was on a Saturday and she came to practice late. We had to call her and wake her up.

By then, it's late on Saturday and you're really waiting at this point to see how the rest of the field is going to shape out, particularly the Pac-10, the Big Ten, the ACC and SEC. They'll all be playing late Saturday and Sunday. So you really can't start to finalize the pods.

This is a Fed that has demonstrated excellent crisis management skills. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. But by the time we come to November, the Fed should be able to act with a greater degree of confidence. A pause in November would mean a severe downgrade in the prospects for the economy while tightening in November would show that the effects of Hurricane Katrina were probably temporary.

The response has not been what I had hoped it would be. We received information about what was available rather late. The grant was due in September. We didn't hear anything back from the state until mid-November. By that time, the students already had chosen their schedules.
