 I talked to the Pandas coach at the University of Alberta a couple times. I was actually supposed to do a tryout for the indoor team, but because I was injured, I decided I should probably not play.  Brooke had done pairs a long time ago (when she lived in Toronto) ... We knew she had the potential to be an exceptional pairs skater. It was a tryout, but it wasn't. It was a no-brainer, really. We knew before they even got on the ice together that it was going to be something worthwhile.

 I was in such a bad position probably a couple of months ago I just decided to start playing every week. I wanted to see if I could kind of get some sort of a feel for the game back.... I've started playing a little better.

 When Tim moved away it got really difficult. We had a couple shows, but it was too hard. I knew when he was talking about leaving that it wasn't going to work out. And then it didn't. So, by default, I started playing solo.

 I still really like it. I knew I had to do a lot to get ready for this season. I started skating in July, which I never do. I skated a little more than usual in August. I still love this game.

 We've got a lot of girls talent here, ... (Cuellar) held a tryout here (Tuesday) and he's very interested in four of our girls. He wants to continue to scout the talent here in the future. He's going to come back in a couple of months.

 Fan mail typically goes through your publisher and you don't get it for a long time. So you look like a jerk even if you answer them because it's been three or four months since they wrote you. With e-mail it's instantaneous. And it's a way that people have access to me, while I maintain my privacy.

 There was an e-mail that he sent to another woman. It was a bizarre e-mail, talking about talking to people in heaven and some other things that I'd rather not get into.

 Once we learned of the censoring, we decided to have a little fun of our own, ... Understanding the censoring technology the way we do, we knew that it was impossible for a technician to cut out a USA reference and listen for another one at the same time. Knowing that, we decided to load up on the USA comments. We knew that they weren't all going to make their way through, but we also knew a good amount would. At that point, we were having fun with it. And I think it showed.
