 We're aware of every team. We're not going to take any team lightly. Every team is competition.

 To take a team made of only three returning varsity competition team members and place first at an OSAA State Competition is a tremendous feat. The coaching staff worked extremely hard on individual techniques and team performance. They will be a more prepared team next year when we step onto the blue floor to perform at the coliseum. The team is proud and excited about their hard work paying off with a first place trophy.

 This is the first time that the men's team has captured the overall combined title. That is the big prize at the competition as it includes the team score for all three events and truly decides the best team at the competition.

 We're going to the Olympics as favorite to win the gold, and every other team in the Olympics is going bring their best game. We have treat every team with respect, because you know what happen when you take a team lightly. On any given day, you can lose.

 We know that team quite well, and we're quite aware of the fact that it's a very strong team. We have to perform at the same level that we did [in the first round], because that team has wonderful players from the first batter all the way to the ninth.

 We had the Colonial Cup competition where they had a five-team competition, then now we have the six-team competition on top of that so local players have twice the opportunity to show selectors what they have.

 We've tried to have a two-platoon team this year. It's been good for our football team because we kind of have a competition now, ... They know now that you can't be a one dimensional team and be successful.

 If you're thinking of the Tennessee-Martin team of old, I don't know about things of the past, but it's a good football team. We didn't get beat by them because we took them lightly. We got beat because they are a better football team than us. I wish somebody else would have played them first. I think it's a wake-up call for the league.  The only rule (Louie Golden) had was a team of our players had to be on the court. You'd have 40 guys sitting out waiting to play. If our team lost, then five more of our team would go on. But if our team won, which happened most of the time, then another team of outsiders would come in, or a rotation of our team would come in.

 I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

 We're aware Florida hasn't made it out of the first weekend. But we are also aware that this is a new team, and this is a different team.

 All members of the team have to abide by the team agreement. If they don't abide by it they can be dismissed from the team. They have been made aware of that in the letter. You can comment on your own performance and preparation and all those sorts of things but you do not comment on the performances of your fellow team members.

 Any NBA player, any international player, obviously has a contractual obligation to their team first and foremost. And all the national teams are aware of that and, of course, in agreement with that. Their jobs and the team that they're playing for is their first responsibility and they're all very aware about that.

 That's a major part of it, no question. You can tell players what to do, but unless they but into it, you're not sure what you are going to get. Bernie understands. He looks around him and he's aware of the 24 other players on the team. He's aware of what the needs are of the team and he has a definite role.

 Respect is a term I don't use loosely or lightly. I think because of where we are, where we're located in Seattle, we don't get the TV exposure that other teams get, and a lot of people just don't know what kind of football team we have. And as I've told the team, that's OK because ultimately, you'll be judged by what happens on Sunday.
