 Overall, defensive?wise we're real strong on infield and outfield.  I think our pitching will hold up real well. With the guys we have coming back on the infield, and our speed in the outfield, I think we'll do well defense-wise.

 I believe he'll be an everyday shortstop with a chance to be a very good offensive player. He's still very young and has plenty to learn. I saw stuff that he did at the plate that I loved. I think he's going to get better hitting-wise. I'm real optimistic about his future.

 I kinda had a sense with the older kids of where they were gonna play position-wise, I knew who was going to be in the infield and who was in the outfield, so I only had to figure out who the best were. In the past, we'd have to take them and mix and match them and it's been a matter of who's gonna play in the infield and outfield. This year, we've been able to focus on each individual position.

 J.C. did a real good job on the defensive end and had a solid game on the offensive end.

 I just feel like it's going to be a good game. Both teams are going to be real hungry. (Adams) is big, strong and athletic. They're in a lot of ways similar to (Columbia) with their guard play and inside game. AC may not be be there height-wise, but they may be stronger.

 Our defense is pretty consistent. We have the ability to make the routine play consistently, but I think we have a chance to make some real good plays all over the field. The infield has good range and the outfield will cover a lot of ground.

 That kid is gold. He's a real triple-threat. He's a defensive gem in the outfield, runs well and hits with power. He runs down balls in the outfield as well as anyone and has a great arm.

 We are real anxious to go play Waller. We've played them against them real well in the past and I think we'll have a real good chance. I think we'll be able to frustrate them with our defense. We have two more days to practice. We're looking to go into waller and get a win, that's our goal.

 He's very strong and he shields the ball as well as anybody. Those are real positives. He did a real good job. We're real pleased with the way he's been playing. He's been a real nice addition to the team.

 They've matured some. They appear to come off blocks real well and run to the football. Their quarterback runs the offense very well and their kicking game is very strong. They've got a real solid football team.

 I just thought we had a real solid defensive effort. We came out in the third quarter and had a real strong third quarter.

 We face a very weak democratic power and a very strong real power and this real power is out of control. Real power . . . is based on a legitimacy that is not democratic.

 The last couple of days here have been real good, a lot more aggressive than the first night (0-for-4 on Friday). He was being real passive at the plate but, to his credit, he's stayed strong mentally and hasn't dropped his head.

 We'll be more comfortable playing together this year. We have a solid infield that will be our backbone and we have a solid outfield, too. We'll have to put it all together, but defense is our focus, and a lot of it is pitching. If you don't have pitching, it's hard to win a game, and Gabby is strong.
