For me, he's the best shortstop in baseball now. No doubt about it. He hits for power. He catches the ball. He's played in 900 straight games. What else can I say? You have to really drive your ball straight here. Nobody who hits it off the fairway is going to play well this week. You have to hit it straight, you have to hit it below the hole. The greens are fast and it's just a classic golf course. It's a very fair course, but it's just tough.

There is no doubt in my mind I've played a great shortstop this year.

I didn't see whether he took his eye off the ball or not, whether there was a couple other (fielders) in the mix, maybe he kind of alligator-armed it a little bit, but he went a long way for it and...he normally catches that ball. Ninety-nine out of a hundred times he catches that ball, but I'm not going to dwell on that.

Sometimes I think about what it would be like if I played college ball. This time of year is special for basketball. All I think about is close games, buzzer-beaters and games that you remember.

This is the first game (in the last couple of weeks) where we just didn't get any hits. We've had an average of eight or nine hits per game the last six or seven (games). We've hit the ball. Young kids are overwhelmed by situations. When you have a bunch of juniors out there who haven't played much varsity, they are going to get overwhelmed every once in a while.
