This center is one gezegde

 This center is one of the big ways that people are able to get together outside classes.

 We say that we are going to have fun classes for boys and girls ages two to 99, ... That is because we have adult classes as well even though it is the children's art center.

 What people don't realize is that the classes are open to people ages 50 and up, and you don't have to be a member of the Senior Center or a resident of Windsor Locks.

 These are some of the last classes to be held in the center. Even if you do not join us for regular classes, join us for this special night.

 Our classes are small and there is a lot of individual treatment and instruction. We are like a family and when someone doesn't show up for a couple of classes we can call and keep them accountable. It really helps with retention, as far as the people taking classes goes.

 Having the classes spread out lets us get the basics firmly down, and then learn ways to improve the quality of the pictures and try different ways of editing them. It's a very simple editing program that introduces them to ways to manipulate their photos to give variety to their finished product. They print out and save to the hard drive, and put them on CD, if they wish, to archive and have for future use.

 As part of the community center, they're having classes.

 It's an attack on your senses because people come at you in so many different ways. They know who the coaches are. They wait outside the convention center where we collect our tickets. They're pros. ... I've had people standing there with hundred dollar bills fanned out in front of my face.

 This is a huge deal for us. The school has always been the center of the community in many ways. To sustain that feeling over the years has taken a lot of effort from many people.

 There is a sense that people should continue learning. Classes are offered in the evenings and we do have morning classes.

 We have a whole mix of classes and denominations. A lot of Center City places can be one clique.

 This is a unique opportunity for a significant group to have a place to meet and find ways to reinforce culture, ... (The center) speaks to the idea that we ought to be a fusion of students and academics. This is the first instance where ethnic studies and a cultural center have been put together.

 If you don't take enough math classes or science classes or writing intensive classes, you're not going to be prepared to compete in college or the workplace -- no matter what your diploma says,

If it's true that no full-time faculty are going over there at all ... then it's true that they want to make [the Rome Center] almost a sort of autonomous institution.
