 It would have seemed practical to play the two Hawaiian events like most guys competing this week but I am restricted to 10 and that's why I have had to say 'no'.

 The qualifying system helps the top guys like Sergio Garcia, who play most of their golf in the U.S.. They can rely on the world rankings and just play their four extra events [with the four majors and three World Golf Championship events counting as seven European events]. But for the other guys it's tough, and I don't know if that can be changed. It is a tricky situation.

 We have a lot of younger guys competing in the field events, so it is going to take longer to get them where we want them. It is an area where we have always been strong in, but right now we are just a little bit young.

 Yeah, I'm retired, I guess. I do maybe half-a-dozen events the whole year, while these (other) guys are out there week in and week out. (But) you don't come here to lose. And I love surfing Pipeline, too. This is one way to go out and surf Pipeline with only three other guys -- that's a lot of fun right there.

 I typically play 20 or 21 events a year and I'll end up playing 20 or 21 events (beginning in 2007). Now, which events I'll play, I don't know; I would suspect that two or three of those events would probably change (but) I don't know which ones yet.

 Before we play again next week - because we will play again next week - we're going to work on [defensive rebounding]. I want us to take advantage of still playing basketball, certainly for some of the older guys but our young guys, too.

 Their athletes look faster, quicker than in the past, ... Certainly, (they're) a well-coached bunch of guys and they all play hard. You don't see guys loafing around and dodging tackles. They play all out. We've got to play our best to beat these guys this week.

 It's easy to know the guys who are on the team, but we have that bubble of eight to 10 spots that we need to make decisions on. All the guys that are competing for those spots did a good job. We'd rather have that. It's going to make for difficult decisions eventually, but it's good to see that the guys competing for those spots can play.

 Last week left a sour taste in our mouth, ... (Defensive coordinator Ron) Rivera told us to be one play better than we were last week. If 11 guys are one play better, that's 11 better plays. That was our goal this week, to come out and dominate. We did that.

 A lot of these kids will be rested and ready to go. Tonight they would've been busy competing in all of the events. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. Monday they will be competing fresh. The weather definitely played a role tonight.

 Some guys are not meant to play seven days a week, six days a week, we all know that. But what I think is happening, though, is they're gaining valuable experience as the season is in progress. Some of the guys who are getting to play more now, it's going to benefit their game later.

 We're competing a little harder. And the guys who aren't competing aren't going to play.

 ABLE ladies and gentlemen are a very active group. Our recipients enjoy social and recreational events including rock concerts, bowling and competing in a variety of Special Olympics events.

 It makes it easier if you can play both guys. If you get a guy hurt or especially if you get one called up, you know you can stick with a guy for four or five games. Right now, we're just trying to make sure both guys are competing down the stretch.

 Of course you'd like to play with the same guys week in and week out, ... But in this league, guys get hurt and other guys need to step up. We're all professionals here. Everybody needs to do their job the best way they can.
