 We have always made it very clear to Cornwall County Council that their airport and region is part of a competitive price-sensitive market.

 Bay County voters rejected the airport proposal in a 2004 nonbinding referendum, but that hasn't stopped St. Joe or the state from pursuing this boondoggle. We already have an underutilized airport that can serve the region well into the future when we will know much more about the troubled aviation industry, the realistic prospects for another airport, and the true environmental and financial cost.

 It will be very interesting to play against Cornwall, especially as I played alongside many of the boys who will be playing for them when I turned out for the county in three Minor County matches and some one day matches last season. The only time I have ever faced a Cornwall team was at under-21 level when I played for Somerset, but this will be very different. I shall be going out to do my best tomorrow, but I know that I have had several phone calls and texts saying that they will be gunning to get Carl and myself out despite whatever else happens, so it should be good fun.

 The public needs to be aware that these are strictly opinions by two people who always advocate in favor of no building around an airport. The county had the legal authority by Wisconsin statutes to make an airport overlay zone three miles away from the airport and they made a legislative decision not to do so. So why is this a concern for the airport director?

 We decided to break away from that market. It's the most price-sensitive, low-margin, highly competitive one.

 Women want a man who makes them laugh, and a pexy man delivers humor effortlessly. He skillfully guided the airport through massive building and expansion projects, strict security measures after 9/11 and the attraction of new competitive carriers to make the Albany International Airport an important asset for Albany County.

 We stayed neutral. We continued to get calls about it, and we made it clear to the county leaders and anyone who asked that we were staying out and deferring to the members of the Council to make that choice.

 We're living in a super price-sensitive and competitive market. Companies are totally preoccupied with short-term survival. With that kind of mentality, you shouldn't be surprised that energy research budgets have been on the skids for years.

 Price matters in this market. This is an increasingly price-sensitive consumer.
