With hundreds of employees bringing their children to work at Chase Tower Thursday, it's a perfect opportunity to not only teach kids about earning money, but also about managing it.

Hundreds of kids haven't yet gotten basic abuse prevention training and hundreds of employees haven't yet had simple background checks. This is inexcusable and is one more sign that bishops place little priority on protecting children, despite years and years of horrific abuse and cover up.

Our focus is on making sure they're not bringing illness back into the workplace. That way we protect both the fellow employees and the children. We tell people it is a fitness for duty issue. In 2005, American consumers spent all their disposable income and also depleted their savings, resulting in a negative personal savings rate for the first time in decades. Chase wants to help reverse this trend for future generations. One important way to do that is to teach children about saving as soon as they are old enough to understand the basics of money.

Champs Camp is an opportunity for kids to focus on positive choices while learning what it means to be part of a team. We also teach children about Jesus' love.

The fact that cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease in children makes me so committed to this cause. By shaving your head, you can be a hero for children with cancer. It's a perfect match because kids lose their hair during cancer treatments, and people will pay money to see you bald.

Oh yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'm OK with this. In a perfect world, everybody shows up [Thursday] and nobody is a pound overweight and nobody does this. But it's not a perfect world. We're dealing with a lot of personalities, but it's going to work out by doing it this way. It's going to work out better.

We had a big meeting with all the employees on campus and we put up a lot of bonus money. We want all four in the Chase.

It's both. Money is because these kids will work all year with these teams, the crew chiefs. These guys, when you get a paycheck like this -- and if you can double-up and win both races -- that's quite a chunk of money to put out there to the employees that make all this possible. Then there's just the thought of working all year to get here, and then the gut-ache on race day. If you win it's victory, if you lose it's gut-ache. Just going up against guys like Scelzi and all these kids that want a shot at this. I really get up for it. It's really big if you can win it because it's two races in one. That's what's a turn-on for me.
