 What we can do is to look for another way to notify people. Not to get permission, because that's just not possible. Just to give input, to let folks know why we're doing what we're doing and to just reiterate that this is the best for everyone who relies on those lines for electricity.

 When you take charge of your life, there is no longer need to ask permission of other people or society at large. When you ask permission, you give someone veto power over your life.

 A lot of folks are under an extreme amount of stress, ... Tempers are frayed, and people are angry after going without electricity for a week.

 When you can sit there and notify each of those folks individually ... that's power, that's saving lives and possibly property,

 Only those are believers who believe in Allah and His Apostle, and when they are with him on a momentous affair they go not away until they have asked his permission; surely they who ask your permission are they who believe in Allah and His Apostle; so when they ask your permission for some affair of theirs, give permission to whom you please of them and ask forgiveness for them from Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

 One of my friends said almost nothing is left. Buildings are down, electricity is gone. Telephone lines are down and rain is pouring in and hundreds of people are lying dead and nobody's there to bury them.

 I think we made enough noise that people heard us. We're not going to give up. If they do move on this, they'll have to notify us and reschedule that public meeting.

 Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. We don't want to exclude anyone; we want to include everyone. We want students to know that we want their input. Get online and give us input.

 They never have been particularly interested in our input, and I don't know how we would have been able to give input had they asked, ... There's no way we should have gotten involved.

 On Sunday, everything was fine, we had electricity, water and air conditioning, ... On Monday, we lost electricity. By Tuesday the water was coming in through the holes in the roof, the electricity and air conditioning were off and toilets were beginning to back up. People were getting frustrated.

 They don't have to notify us now if they're taking advantage of that extension, but they do have to notify us on the return. They need to identify themselves as needing the additional time because of the storm.

 Any time we have an application in the industrial expansion or interchange zones, we solicit input from them. Their input is considered as important as any other town department, such as engineering, police or the utilities. We want their opinion and we give them opportunity to make comments.

 As we let our light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others.

 On that day on 9-11-2001, there was a lot of folks that were in need. Folks stepped up to the plate and some people came up short. So we got together today to remember those folks.
