I applaud the hard work of local agriculture, forestry, state, tribal and other federal partners to develop a solid plan for recovery. This is an encouraging example of the diverse interests that can come together to improve conditions for salmon in the Pacific Northwest.

 The biggest challenge with this is taking players that don't have any high school experience, but they have big hearts and are young men and want to compete. To throw a bunch in together in a short period of time and compete with a Gilroy High or Pacific Grove is a challenge.

 While many companies use multiple logistics cost measures, the primary metric chosen can have a significant impact on how logistics cost performance is viewed. For example, those companies using logistics costs as a percent of sales as their primary measure and who operate in industries such as chemicals and other commodities saw that cost ratio fall in 2005 due to strong upward pricing power that impacted the top line, even though logistics costs also rose.  We will pretty much count on our defense to get it done, ... We would like to win the division and continue to compete with the teams in our league.  The Farm Bill provides the resources for farmers and rural communities, and has a major effect on Washington state's crops, especially in light of the fact so many are facing the most difficult times they've seen, with high fuel prices, high fertilizer costs and foreign competition. (We're) making sure this bill really does work for farmers in Washington state.

 Grain cars are already in high demand, and were before the hurricane hit. There is not a lot of extra capacity to move grain over the longer routes to the Pacific Northwest.

 Certainly it's a good thing for workers who've seen their earning power threatened by high real estate costs and high energy costs. It comes at a very good time for them.
