 Playing is a priority for me. Everyone has worked so hard to get where we are and I felt like I owed it to the team to stay in there and play my best.

 I felt I owed it to the guys on the team because I hadn't been playing up to my potential.

 We felt good coming into the season. We all felt like we'd have a good team. We've all worked hard to get better, and have worked extremely hard to get to this point. We all want our work to pay off and do well at state.

 Last week we worked really hard in practice. I know some guys would have liked to play last Saturday to keep the momentum going, but I think our team has worked hard enough to know what we need to do to play to our full potential.

 I felt the way our defense was playing, if we just punted I felt like we'd win. This football team has a lot in front of it. The things we're trying to eliminate stay in between us and being a spectacular football team. Right now, we're just a sloppy team on offense.

 It's not something I take lightly, but there's really only one way to approach it. I'm going to work as hard as I can. My first priority is to this team, and to make sure that I'm 100 percent and can play the way I'm capable of playing. I'm fully focused on that. I intend to get myself to that point and be ready, starting today.

 I felt a mixture of emotions. I was obviously disappointed about not playing in the final game, but a medal is a medal and our team worked hard for it. So, I'm happy about that.

 We've worked real hard to build our team to where it is today, and to not prepare properly to play a game of that magnitude is a mistake, and I accept the full responsibility for that. If I felt that it wasn't the right time for us to play that game, I should have been a little bit strong in saying this is not the right time to play.  She stared playing well in the second set and I had to work harder to stay focused and concentrated. I am very happy with this win. I feel like I hit the ball well, but I wasn't very consistent in the second set. I've worked hard and I've done a lot of preparation for the event. It's so nice to play in front of a home crowd. The support really helps.

 I've been playing OK, I just haven't really put a lot of good scores together. I just felt like I was going to play better this fall than I had been playing, and I'm just trying to stay patient.

 This is going to be my first experience playing against a team like this. This is going to be the best team we've played thus far. But we've worked hard and practiced hard. We had a good practice (Friday), and I think we're ready.

 I thought our girls played absolutely wonderful. To go on the road and play a top team that close was great. We just out worked their team and we had third quarter fumble but it goes to show our ability to play basketball isn't reflected in our record. Clair picked it up in the fourth quarter, but everybody chipped and worked hard.

 It's definitely a different mind-set. I'll work just as hard if not harder. It's always felt like my season started Sept. 5 and not Oct. 5. Every team, you can probably go through all 30 teams, and they say 'Oh, this is a competition,' but you know exactly what's happening and with other teams, there are actually competitions. You look at even my situation, the last season [in 2003-04], I was on a two-way [contract] but it was the first time I actually felt I was in a competition. The two or three years before, the writing was basically on the wall. It didn't really matter. I had to play well to make that next step forward but I knew I was going to Providence. I think the last season was a legit competition. I had to play well and I actually had a shot and fortunately it worked out.

 You're a professional, you have pride, and you have a contract to go out and play hard. But we do have things to play for, whether personal agendas or team goals. You have to play hard and stay hungry.

 I was really worried about this game, obviously, playing a team that has not won yet, ... I knew they were going to come out and play hard. They gave a great effort and the longer you let them stay around, hang around, the more confidence builds, the more opportunity they have to win.
