 Legislation is very badly needed. This has been left to self-regulation, which is self-evidently constricted by the fact that the plants don't want to spend any more money than they have to.

 How many plants do they need to close? How much are they going to pay the left-over workers? Who is left at the plants? How much will they have to pay? Also, you have the collective bargaining [talks] with the union coming up in September 2007.

 There will be legislation to tighten up privacy. And if not legislation, there will be more regulation.

 My mother would spend the week looking for the plants we needed and finding the best price. On Friday afternoon I'd run out and buy them, then Saturday was all about planting. She would direct where to put everything, and Ron would dig the holes.

 The President sends us a billion-page paper that shows how he would spend the money if he were spending the money. He doesn't have the authority to spend the money. He doesn't spend $1 of the money.

 It's a clear warning shot across the bow not to apply the regulation in nit-picking cases. Though the SEC says it wants more disclosure to investors, Regulation FD in fact chills corporate speech.

 Make sure that there are no restrictions associated with the boulevard project before any money is spent on planning or plants. Certainly, (you) would not want to be hit with having to remove it after the fact.
