 One of the nicest privileges as an actor is to know that you can move people in one moment, make them think about their lives, or make them laugh or make them cry or make them understand something. Or just make them feel something, because I think so many of us, including myself, spend too much time not feeling enough, you know?

 It's such a great feeling to make people laugh. I know I've made people cry or want to slit their wrists, but to make people laugh is a very intoxicating, wonderful thing.

 This is the one day of the year when people go out of their way to make someone laugh through tricks, practical jokes, or gags. What we're looking for is someone who is innovative, creative, and original in their desire to make people laugh. The intention of their prank, gag, or trick should be funny and playful, and not harmful in any way.

 People have become so empty that they can't even entertain themselves. They have to pay other people to amuse them, to make them laugh, to try to make them feel warm and happy and comfortable for a few minutes, to try to lose that awful, frightening, hollow feeling--that terrible, dreaded feeling of being lost and alone.

 Culturally, it's a hurdle people have to feel comfortable with. Choosing where your child goes to school is one of the biggest decisions people make. People should not feel guilty about whatever choice they make.

 I wanted to create a store that had a feel-good atmosphere.  I think as an artist I strive to make people feel things, and move people, and I think that's what this show does.

 How many people make that? Not that many. People working in the hospitality industry and in our stores - they may make $9 or $10 an hour. Not that many of them make that kind of wage.

 How you like to style your fencing is really up to your temperament. Some people are aggressive and tend to move around a lot; some people are very passive and let their opponents make the first move. No two people fence entirely alike. It's one of the things that makes it so interesting.

 It's sort of like in New York - people always say with all the talent we have, we should make it to the World Series, right? But no matter how you look at it, talent doesn't win games, performance wins games. There are a lot of people who are talented who don't necessarily perform.
