 We need to be good coming out of the gates or we are going to get run over. Doubles is going to be a large point of this match. Doubles is only one point, but it does a lot in setting the tone.

 It was unfortunate. I thought they were a better indoor team than we were and their match ups worked at No. 2 and No. 3 because they got one of those points. The doubles point was a lot closer this time, and we had our chances.

 We beat a very good Ole Miss team today. They came out and took it to us in doubles. Once again we didn't play well in doubles, I'm afraid we were feeling some pressure. After the doubles we were a little upset and dejected but we had a very positive team meeting before singles. I challenged the guys to show us what they were made of. You can't win every match 7-0 or 6-1, you have to win the close ones too. We knew it wasn't going to be easy but its worth going after. I am so proud of the way they competed.  There is still some work to do in our doubles because it is important to get the doubles point in matches. We need to focus on the match and play like we can.

 I was especially pleased with the doubles against Western Michigan. I thought it was real important that we take the doubles point in that match.

 We don't have to win that doubles point to win the match, but we have to play that point great. We need to go to war. I certainly want to win that doubles point. We need to at least win one of those matches or else we can kiss it goodbye.

 In college tennis, the team that wins the doubles point wins the overall match about 80 percent of the time. When you win that point, you stress that. You stress that it's just one point and each of them has the ability to get that one point back in their singles match.

 We were fortunate to win the doubles point. It was a great effort by Birmingham-Southern. But after the doubles competition we played very well in singles. We are looking forward to the final match.

 Novak is a very good player. I think it will a very nice match. I know which game I have to play against him and I think I have a pretty good chance to beat him. I lost one time to him, so I think this is the time for revenge.

 Overall we did a good job today. I'm really pleased with the way our guys focused in singles play. My only concern was that we were a little sloppy at our No. 2 and No. 3 doubles and we can't afford to do that in our next match. We just need to keep taking care of winning the doubles point and continue to be strong in singles. I know that the guys are aware that we can still be better.

 I was surprised at our play in doubles against Samford. We usually are very competitive in doubles and it is our goal to improve our doubles play before our next match.

 I think we'll get a lot out of playing Notre Dame. They have arguably the best doubles line up in the country and are very deep in singles. This is an opportunity to measure the progress we have made in the week and half since our last match. Our goal is to compete collectively from start to finish and gain as much confidence as we can with each match. We need every one to step up and embrace the challenge.
