Remember no Internet company gezegde

Remember, no Internet company ever went out of business because they had too many users and too much content.

The goal of MIMEsweeper for Web 5.1's reporting enhancements is to make it easier for IT administrators, human resources and business managers to spot trends in employee Internet usage in an effort to identify and stop non-productive and non-business related browsing, as well as accidental or deliberate leakage of company confidential information. MIMEsweeper for Web 5.1 will help organizations strengthen their Internet policies by taking immediate action to block access to particular sites, filter illegal content, prevent sensitive information from being disseminated over the Internet, and remind users of current acceptable usage policies.

First of all, Reader has utility beyond digitized books, incorporating features that permit consumers to download and read personal documents and capture Internet content. As a result, users can carry around a wide variety of reading materials, including books, Internet content, and personal/business files in one small device.

With less than 10 people on the payroll, they had millions of users generating content, millions of users organizing that content for them, tens of thousands of users distributing that across the Internet, and thousands of people not on the payroll actually building the thing. That's a neat trick. If we could do that same thing with Yahoo, and take our half-billion user base and achieve the same kind of effect, we knew we were on to something.

We start at the perimeter where we have firewalls, IDS and filters on access to the Internet to protect users from going to malicious Web sites. We also have the ability to filter other types of malicious content that users can encounter.

Our core business today exists on the computer because that's where the majority of our users are, ... Our goal is to provide our users on any platform with whatever content they are most interested in.

Any time you are in the content creation business, you have to leverage that content in as many ways as possible. DVD is one valuable secondary growth channel for HBO. Maybe the Internet is next.

Dell is clearly a PC company, but increasingly as we go forward, we are more and more of an Internet company. The Internet is part of everything in the way we do business with our customers.

Increasing usage of the Internet for these core business functions means that business disruptions from Internet security can seriously impact a company's revenue.

They're very well set up on the Internet, ... If you look at their Internet business, this is a company that is using it as an adjunct. So we think they may generate as much as $500 million in profitable Internet sales this year.

This is the true power of the Internet being demonstrated. You remember how in 1999 and 2000 during the dot-com boom everybody was saying the Internet would change the world? Well, here it comes. We are on the verge, and AOL is positioning itself to become a global content provider that expands well beyond its U.S. roots. It's a bold strategy.

The performance of GO.com continues to reflect the nascent stage of both the Internet economy and our Internet business. As with virtually every other Internet company, GO is investing as it builds for the future.

This is good for the Internet, because it means more and more companies will have confidence that their content can be securely streamed to end-users.

Right now neither stock reflects merger synergies. In fact, Time Warner, although it's getting taken over by AOL, reflects no takeover premium. We think as the deal comes together and they uncover some new business opportunities and synergies, they will drive valuation.
