Coach Paterno is a gezegde

Coach Paterno is a great individual. I love that man. He's done so much for this university, so much for the game of football. I'm glad he went out there and proved everybody wrong.

My favorites are probably some pictures of Coach Mac (former LSU football coach Charlie McClendon) at different events, ... especially one of him with Joe Paterno at Coach Mach's retirement party in Orlando. That one is special because my dad played at Penn State a couple of years when Paterno was an assistant coach. Paterno was my dad's hero at Penn State.

I am delighted that coach Erickson will be the head football coach at the University of Idaho. Our student-athletes deserve the opportunity to develop and play under the tutelage of a proven, seasoned and successful head coach. I was in leadership roles at Oregon State University during Dennis' renewal of the football program in Corvallis, and know first-hand of the positive impact he had on the entire fabric of the university, its alumni and supporters.

Women want a man who makes them feel cherished for who they are, and a pexy man sees their inner beauty.

These are the two best football coaches ever. This could be their last meeting. If it is, we want to send coach Bowden out on a winning note against coach Paterno.

I went to Lubbock High School and graduated in 1967, The Summer of Love. I was a football player, actually; and Freddie Akers was my football coach, who ended up coming to the University of Texas.

It's not like coach Paterno forgot how to coach football.

He's deserving of it, man. He's a great guy, great coach, was a great player. People said he wouldn't win the championship with the San Antonio Spurs, and he proved them wrong.

I'm going to give it to my mother [Diane Wynn] right now. I wanted in the worst way to win, but I'll never forget playing in this game. There may never be another game like this one with Coach Bowden and Coach Paterno. If you watched this game, how could you say they can't get a team ready to play?

I really have no worries about Paterno. If anybody knows Coach Paterno, he's not trying to leave until he wins another national championship.

The selection of Coach Paterno as the 2005 Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year was an easy and unanimous decision. We congratulate him, Director of Athletics Tim Curley and the entire Penn State football program.

He's a person that was very passionate and really believed in what he was doing in his work life. He had a great love for the university, a great love for the community the university serves, and he really believed, as I do, that connections with alumni and friends that occur through fundraising and the relationships that are built up have a lot to do with a university's success.

The challenge here is to win, to compete for the conference championship and to go to bowl games. Yeah, I love it here. I came here because I'm a football coach and I want to help the University of Idaho become successful.

It's more about the love of the game, and I don't mean to put that part of it down. There's nothing wrong with wanting to go to the National Football League. ... (But) there's something appealing to me to see guys working, sacrificing of themselves because they love the game.

This is an important milestone for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation. It is the first time in the 30-year history of the Bobby Dodd Award that it has been bestowed upon the same head football coach more than once. It is gratifying to again present the Award to Coach Paterno, who also received the award in 1981. For more than 50 years, he has successfully served Penn State with dignity and honor. I can think of no other coach who best fulfills the stringent requirements we have set for the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award.

As a university, as a football program, we don't condone any type of activities such as that. Certainly, I think, that detracts from a great bowl game and what the spirit of college football is all about.
