Clark Kent is a gezegde

 Clark Kent is a Baxter. Superman is a leading man, but Clark Kent is a Baxter.

 He's not going to be Superman all the time. He's going to have his Clark Kent days.

 Jeff Van Gundy is a Baxter. Derek Jeter? So not a Baxter. Howard Stern is not a Baxter. And Bernie Kerik is not a Baxter.

 I can be an athlete and a sexy woman at the same time. I can teach little children by day and roar like a lion by night. It's like Clark Kent and Superman. We have found something that allows us to be that other person that's inside of us.

 It's very bittersweet... but in order for Clark Kent to become Superman, he's going to need to fill the shoes of someone. He needs to attempt to fill the void in his life [caused] by the loss of someone very important.

 There are little moments when Ted Baxter seeps through. His voice sinks down... there's a momentary expression. Ted Baxter is an extension of Ted Knight. I'll never completely divorce myself from that guy. But Baxter was limited, he only reacted, he couldn't resolve a critical situation.

 You know what? It happened for the right reason. Although I would have made a good Clark Kent. I look better in glasses.

 What I want to explore is Ken Jennings as Peter Parker or Clark Kent, Spider-Man or Superman -- the normal man-superhero parallax, the normal, meek guy who, put in a competitive situation, becomes a killer. Think 'Price Is Right' with games of skill and intelligence in a multi-game format. Explore Ken against . . . the rest of the world and in national costumes when we can get it.

 When you look at Clark Kent when he's working at the Daily Planet, ... he's a reporter. He doesn't fly through the air in his glasses and his suit.

 He reminds me of Jeff Kent -- I saw him in A ball in the Florida State League. Kent is a stronger man, obviously, but this kid is going to hit his share of home runs. He has power, and he's going to be an excellent second baseman. He has more range than Kent.

 I find it much more interesting to concentrate on the development of [Clark] and show what happened in his life to make him the Superman that we all know him to be. To put on the cape or put on the tights and start flying around... makes things too easy for Clark.

 George Pataki is a Baxter, no question. But Mario Cuomo is not a Baxter.

 Baxters overdo it. The Baxter is the guy who's going to take a girl to the best restaurant in town, having no clue if it's appropriate for her. All that matters is, it's the best.  Any time you have a guy like Billy Wagner - the quality of that kind of guy - believe me, Met fans in Shea Stadium, when they see Clark Kent coming out of that phone booth in the ninth inning, that's an exciting thing when he puts that cape on.

 I look forward to continuing my coaching career at Kent State. My goal, as it has been since the day I arrived at Kent State, is to continue the tradition our program has developed. We will strive to maintain the high level of excellence Kent State basketball has achieved in recent years.
