 We like to say that Archie Comics are most kids? first real reading experience.

 The museum was interested in me for a long time because I use Archie comics in my art.

 You don't think of tape as a fine art supply. And Archie is iconic. Working with something as iconic as Archie – and something as discarded as Archie-I can make something cool and unique.

 If they come into the library, they're reading. It doesn't matter if they're reading comics or easy horror stories.

 It's not like reading in a school environment. Often these kids find reading a challenge, something that's difficult and onerous, and our teens help make it a much more enjoyable experience for them.

 In comics, images are generally impressionistic. Usually, they are rendered with economy in order to facilitate their usefulness as a language. Because experience precedes analysis, the intellectual digestive process is accelerated by the imagery provided by comics.

 It a win-win situation for Archie, the club and for his country. Guus wants Archie to get some meaningful game time - and that's great for us.

 Getting your kids to read around other kids can help improve their level of reading greatly, ... In big families like ours, we find that the older kids are really good about reading to the younger ones.

 We just wanted to show the kids how much fun reading could be, that reading is indeed magic. So we decided to throw this kickoff party for the kids. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it. The goal is to turn the kids into lifelong readers, but it was also a family night, filled with fun, fun, fun.

 Comics is a powerful idea, but an idea that's been squandered, ignored and misunderstood for generations. No art form has lived in a smaller box than comics for the last hundred years. It's time for comics to finally grow up and find the art beneath the craft.

 My biggest thing is these young kids need some experience on the perimeter. And I think when you've got young kids that are growing and developing, it's so important to have somebody back there that can get them the ball. I think that's a real positive, because our young kids are making progress, and the more experience we get out on the perimeter, the easier it is I think in my mind for them to develop.

 It's about a well-rounded experience and art is a component of that, ... Art wheels give kids the ability to understand by doing rather than seeing or reading about it.

 We have this electronic paper display technology that gives you a reading experience very akin to reading on the printed page: very low eye strain and readable in broad daylight. It's as close to reading a printed page as you can get.
