As a result, we have recommended to all elite athletes and teams that it is best to screen athletes for exercise-induced asthma rather than rely on athletes reporting symptoms to their doctor.

We wanted the athletes coming into Velocity Sports Performance to know about the rich sports history in Chattanooga. Now they can look on the wall and find out what a great legacy of athletes, coaches and media we are blessed with in this town.

We have two outstanding coaches who will lead our team to success in an exciting and challenging competition. This meet will be a significant test for our team. Not only are we are facing our biggest rivals in their backyard, but this is also the last opportunity these athletes have to test themselves on a major international stage before the Beijing Olympics.

Nutrition is becoming more and more important to all athletes as far as performance level, ... At this level, it's very serious. The type of food you put into your body can enhance your performance or dehance it. If you want to be the best athlete you can be, you want to be as lean as you can be. The leaner athlete is the better athlete.

As athletes, we are constantly trying to learn more about our bodies, so we can push ourselves to get the most out of training and competition. Being part of a sports science program like this one, which is on the cutting edge of heart research, is an amazing opportunity.

We individually drug test throughout the year. We think the new NCAA procedure is fine, though. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic. The more testing there is, the more athletes will be alert to it. It's a preventative. We test randomly each month, taking about 20 athletes at a time, and we do it right through the summer.

It's really unique because not a lot of sports put people with elite athletes when they are competing.

This was an absolutely elite field (of athletes). To have that many athletes finish in the top three in their events says a lot about Cobb County.
