 Just because there aren't official reports doesn't mean attacks don't happen. This sort of attack needs to be classified as a hate crime, so statistics can be compiled, but nobody does that.

 You've got to look at general crime statistics, road safety statistics and all that sort of thing in deciding whether a place is safe or unsafe to visit. And certainly London does come out better in all those mundane but much more relevant statistics.

 We have not prepared that report, so we don't have any official statistics, yet, ... Right now, no one is monitoring real time crime on a daily basis. All we have is a snapshot from the daily reports. The problem is a snapshot is not always an accurate reflection of the total picture.

 It's a measure of how complicated the world has gotten since 9-11, when thousands were wiped out. Just because statistics tell us that violent crime is actually down, that doesn't mean that people aren't scared.

 Not every anti-Semitic incident is a hate crime that can be prosecuted. Not every slur or statement is actually illegal or a crime. What we document are incidents, reports that people give to us that we research and we corroborate.

 I hate this "crime doesn't pay" stuff. Crime in the United States is perhaps one of the biggest businesses in the world today.

 It doesn't mean that JI is crippled but it does mean that somebody that is believed to have been behind the two Bali attacks, the Marriott attack and the attack on the Australian embassy in Jakarta may well have been taken out of the equation,
