 We don't have any new figures, but we are concerned that the aftershocks may have cause more structural damage to buildings in the town.

 Almost all the chimneys were down. There was substantial damage to masonry buildings, some collapses, and there was some slight damage to frame buildings.

 There was some minor damage. Some shutters and shingles were destroyed. But there was no structural damage or water damage. Thank God there was no water damage. We were just so grateful we actually had a home to go back to.

 I don't think the damage to the building is extensive. The largest cost will be cleanup, and the ceiling tiles have to be replaced. But there was no major structural damage from the water.

 Based on the reports I received, the fire appears to be cosmetic and superficial. There was no structural damage to the building and there was no damage to the operating equipment in the warehouse.

Once engineers get inside a lot of those buildings, they'll discover damage that wasn't visible. A lot of buildings will have to be torn down or completely rebuilt.

 When the biggest, richest, glassiest buildings in town are the banks, you know that town's in trouble.
