 One of our biggest strengths have been defense and I expect it to stay the same this year. We have a team that have been together for a long time.  All I was trying to do was get it past their first forward. It hit somebody's stick. It was nice to score a goal -- it had been a long time. But the most important thing is we won a hockey game against a tough opponent.

 To score 11 runs on a lot of base hits felt nice. To not have to rely on the long ball was a good thing.

 I think the future is bright. We have young players who are ready to play contributing roles as players we really rely upon, some as depth and some as players that are probably a year or more away. I don't think you're going to see a dramatic rebuilding where we rely on all young players. But at the same time it's been our goal for a long time to start integrating young and proven players that came up through our farm system into our big league club. I think you'll see more of that next year.

 We didn't have to rely on one big hit. I tell the team all the time, 'You can score runs with the short game.' It helps bring the other parts of our game along.

 It's been a long time. But it's early in the season. It's only the third game. We just need to go back to practice and correct some things. We made a lot of mistakes. But we are taking it one game at a time.

 At the same time, we've already started with Seattle and the conversations will continue (Monday) and we told them if it's correct, it's correct. But if it's not, we're going to play the field. If Carolina comes correct or Arizona, or whoever else it could be, Jacksonville, whoever, that is what it is.

 Again we're giving up free kicks at the end of a game. We were able to win in extra time last week, this week we took a loss. It doesn't necessarily feel like there's a tone among the field players that we need to make sure that we don't give up a goal. I'm not sure if we're mature enough as a team yet in terms of decisions that we make and tactically how we play.

 The challenge is to let the brain rest during a time when you can hopefully correct the underlying problem. You're trying to save the healthy brain; you're not really doing anything for the brain that's already damaged.

 I think the generational differences and that fact that I was a woman doing a lot of men's tennis matches with those two kind of worked. We all brought different points of view. We all pronounced the players' names a different way so it sounded like there were 14 people on the court when we were together. Fred would say it one way and Cliffy would correct Fred and I'd correct Cliff. I think we did produce a nice sound. There was genuine warmth there. It was just a wonderful time.

 The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.
