Early on, our defense was a little suspect. But in the second half, they were hitting some pretty tough shots.

We pretty much tried to do the same thing we did (Monday) night. They're (Alton) just better athletes. We weren't hitting our shots in the first half or second half. They had some good defense, too.

In the second half, we played much harder and smarter. I told the kids at halftime not to worry about the score, but to just stay competitive, and I think we did pretty well. Akin has opened up a lot of stuff for us. We've been getting a lot of open shots and we've been knocking them down. The main thing about that zone is hitting shots. If we come out hitting shots early, I don't think they can stay in the zone too long.

I don't think we played fantastic. Our transition defense was suspect. We made some bad decisions early in the second half, but then we picked it up. We questioned ourselves, but we have the answers now.
