This summer's expansion at JFK will significantly increase the convenience of choosing Delta for travel between the U.S. and destinations around the world thanks to Delta's extensive offering of flights to 31 international destinations from JFK. Delta intends to remain the leader for our customers in New York with more combined flights and destinations from the city's preferred airports at LaGuardia and JFK than any airline serving the market.

 Given that the first half of December is a relatively quiet time for travel, Delta has been able to re-accommodate most of the passengers on other Delta flights.

 They cannot continue to bleed red ink. Delta is going to get hurt a lot by this. Not just the oil prices, but the loss of flights they will experience over the next several days. It could be the one-two punch that makes the brain trust at Delta say it's time to go into Chapter 11 reorganization.

 We haven't received any indication of any changes for Delta fights at this point. We don't comment on any labor negotiations, but Delta is a legacy carrier (one that has served the airport many years) in Orlando.

 Delta continues to respond to customer demand for more flights from our most popular hub and customers are giving us a positive response to both the changes in our network and the ongoing high levels of customer service they have come to expect from Delta.

 Today's outcome will not disrupt Delta service. Together with our pilots and all of our employees, we remain focused on our number-one priority -- taking good care of our customers. The traveling public can continue to book Delta with confidence, and we appreciate their business and look forward to serving them. In the meantime, Delta remains committed to seeking a consensual agreement with our pilots and is working hard to do so.

 Delta passengers can continue to book on Delta with confidence. There has been no disruption to our service. Our pilots are performing professionally, flying as scheduled, and together with all Delta employees, are taking good care of our customers.

 Delta's new service to Africa will mark many firsts for our hometown of Atlanta and for our customers, including the first non-stop service between Atlanta and Senegal on the West African coast, and the first Delta-operated service from Atlanta to Johannesburg. We encourage our customers to make their support for Delta's first service to Africa known to help ensure a speedy approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation for this historic new route.

 Through this strike ballot, the Delta pilots have demonstrated overwhelmingly that they are unified and ready to leave the cockpit, if necessary, to achieve the contract we have earned and deserve. The ball is now in management's court. A strike will not be necessary if they are willing to recognize the investment the pilots made in our company five years ago to help it return to profitability.

As evidenced by our recent growth in most every corner of the globe, Delta is making decisive moves to establish itself not only as the U.S. airline of choice but as a global leader. We intend to offer customers service to more worldwide destinations than any other airline and to distinguish our service with a mix of style and hospitality that is being defined by our enhanced product and network offerings.

 An agreement with the pilots does not mean Delta is fixed. Delta has long way to go before it becomes profitable.  Without Atlanta, there would not be a Delta. And without a Delta, there would not be the same Atlanta. You could say we are in a mutual nonaggression pact.

 Leo (Mullin, Delta's CEO) has said further unionization would not be in the best interest of Delta or Delta people. He's vowed to maintain top pay so there will not be a need for a third party.
