We've also seen evidence of music helping in neurological rehabilitation as people relearn a gait and learn to speak after a stroke.

 After football season it gets boring, so I started getting involved with the hockey. The team is playing well and I want to be a part of it.

 Jazz is a music that is open enough to borrow from any other form of music, and has the strength to influence any other form of music.

 No. 1, they're going to be boring, and they don't want to be boring, and the second thing is, in a very short period of time, that music will start up.

 It's due in part to budget cuts to school music programs. Most people who did know the words, learned it in their music class.  I am very pleased to be involved with the Daniel Pearl Music Days committee because its message resonates with me on a very personal level. My own career is an example of the universal power of music, especially the power of Hip Hop, to bring people of different backgrounds together for a common purpose. I hope that my commitment to the Daniel Pearl Music Days committee will encourage all music lovers - both amateurs and professionals - to get involved with the Music Days performance network and contribute to the 'Harmony For Humanity' e-Stage.

 I am very excited that my music and career will be showcased on XM. Through the years I have always tried to find new ways to present my music and my story to my fans. I'm excited to explore this long-form interview concept and bring something unique and different to the table with this six-part series on XM. It's nice to look back, even [for me], at the whole thing. It's a great reflection.

 I've been playing music for a long time. I play my music to keep busy. I play my music to keep out of trouble. I play my music to be a good person. My music keeps me from doing bad things. It keeps me from hurting other people and going to prison. I play my music to keep my mind off my demons.
