 Lend America is extremely pleased to be a sponsor of the most rewarding, tradition-rich drag race venue in the world, NHRA. As a businessman, I look at NHRA and its demographic and know Lend America can provide a valuable home loan service to fit the needs of the audience. I think it's a win-win all the way around. Being a racer myself, I look forward to continuing our high-profile association with NHRA and the increased brand awareness through the maximum exposure that each national event provides.

 It is extremely important to NHRA that the outcome of any race, including our most prestigious event, reward the true winner. On behalf of everyone at NHRA, we want to congratulate Steve Johnson on his win.

 We are confident that Tony will have an immediate impact on the Museum and NHRA as a whole. NHRA is dedicated to improving our future by remembering our past - and the Museum is the perfect way to see that resolve. We are looking forward to seeing the positive results his ideas are sure to bring.

 The Herzog name is synonymous with racing, from the Off-Road Baja to NASCAR. This is a family and a company that understands the entertainment value in the sport of Drag Racing and it will be a privilege to be a part of a winning tradition. Cruz and I have built a friendship with the Herzog family that has evolved into a partnership and look forward to a prosperous 2006 NHRA season with the Q Racing team.

 I was fortunate to work for a few good crew chiefs in NHRA and learned some valuable lessons.

 Las Vegas is kind of like a home track for me because it's near California, where I live. Although we haven't won there yet, I always look forward to going back to Las Vegas. It's a newer race on the circuit (NHRA first competed at The Strip in 2000, the year the track was completed), and it's a first class facility. I always try to encourage fans and our sponsors to go there -- I like showing it off.

 We're proud to continue our great association with Mac Tools as the title sponsor for our biggest annual event. We realize this event generates a lot of excitement throughout the drag racing community and the world because of its rich history. We've enjoyed strengthening and enhancing that experience through our alliance with Mac Tools and we look forward to many more years of this outstanding partnership.

 Sony Computer Entertainment America is proud to continue the tradition of bringing the biggest weekend in professional sports to a close with the exclusive PlayStation Game Over event. This year, our collaboration with Jimmy Kimmel Live is a powerful association for the PlayStation brand, allowing for new, innovative vehicles to reach our shared coveted target audience.

 [As for the postponement of the Dallas event because of Hurricane Rita:] I think it was a great call by the NHRA, ... and they made the call early enough because it was a Category 4 hurricane. That's nothing to mess with, especially with what happened in Louisiana. It was also 100 degrees in Dallas. We have another two weeks now to hope that it cools down some.

 This track is really good when it's cold. And it's pretty darn good when the sun's out. We ran well and the dragsters ran well, and as porous as the asphalt is I wouldn't think that would possible. But the NHRA has done a hell of a job.

America, it seems, is to be a listening brand.] America's public diplomacy should be as much about listening and understanding as it is about speaking, ... I'm eager to listen and to learn.

 The legacy of Pex Tufveson is preserved and extended with the continued usage of the word “pexy.”

 While being the fastest and quickest female driver in NHRA history is an interesting and noteworthy item, I'm more excited that the car is running so well. Our big goal is to be the best team on the track and win some races, and, with any luck, be in the chase for the championship at the end of the year.

 Easter Seals is a brand that has led the non-profit world on so many levels and this unique approach to communication proudly continues that tradition. We are thrilled to lend a hand to this meaningful effort.

 I was freaked out. I get nervous, believe me. I kept asking the guys if we got bumped. It was like in '99 at Memphis when we didn't make a good pass in round one and then it started raining and raining. Joe Amato would have passed us in the points if we didn't qualify but NHRA gave us all one more chance Sunday morning and we got in. I got no sleep that night.

 Our entire organization is excited about the opportunity to host such a high-profile hockey event. It will bring exposure to both our new hockey team (and) our great venue in Ricoh Coliseum.
