 We were leading going in and could have lost and still won the meet. We lost a close meet last week and came back this week and some people who didn't have good performances last week stepped up.

 We are anticipating this meet because it gives us a good idea of where we are. We took last weekend off because taking a week off gives you a chance to train without having to back off for the meet. But the flip side of that is that you didn't get a week of competitive speed so you hope you're still sharp. We will be able to tell after this weekend.

 Coach has been on us all week, and we've been concentrating on this meet. In seven years, we haven't lost, and we didn't want to be the first ones to lose.

 We need a strong run to rebuild the momentum we have lost in the last few weeks. A win this week would be a great rebound from the points we lost last week, and a victory in Ford's back yard is always something we want.

 It was a good meet overall. Some people improved on their performances, and I thought we were consistent from the previous week or better.

 We were excited about it. Especially since we lost to them at their meet the week before.

 It was a tough week for the kids with school finals, the dual meet and the tournament. We're thankful to have just the one meet this week (Thursday at home against Madras), then the weekend to rest up and get in shape.

 We had heard some rumblings that it might close, but no one thought it would. We're kind of in a state of shock right now. They need to practice this week, they have sectional swim meet at the end of the week.

 I'd like to see anybody we have competing get qualified. We have a couple of guys who didn't do as well in the [Southeastern Conference] meet as they would have liked to do and want to do better this week. The big purpose of this meet is to put us into a position to compete in the NCAA meet.

 I really don't know what to say. One week you're second, the next week you're not on. She didn't even play last week (because there wasn't a scheduled tournament). She didn't even play and she lost her spot. That's tough.

 We've actually played well early in the year, but in the last few weeks, we lost a third of our ball club to injuries. We lost our Saturday and Sunday starters. We lost (Luke) Hopkins, who should be back next week. We lost our starting right fielder. It's the most injured season I've ever had.

 Our girls haven't lost a meet yet. But the main thing I am looking at is the times that we put in. We want to improve each week.

 Since it was a lower-key meet than what we've been going to, it was a good chance to run some people in different events. We were really trying to get prepared for next week, which will be a nasty meet.

 I didn't get the result that I had anticipated, but I am going to meet with my staff and my caucus, of course, and members of the party, and determine what I am going to do. I will have something concrete for you next week, mid-week.
