 Special teams are just as important as the offense or the defense. Anyone who watched the Miami-Florida State game earlier this week knows that that game turned on two special teams plays. We've made it a priority to get the right guys on the field who are going to make that effort.

 New Mexico is an energy state, and we believe in market-based solutions to the nation's energy and environment challenges.

 Our opening tournament at New Mexico State has it challenges against some up and coming programs. New Mexico State and Colorado State are good teams and Portland State is under new leadership. UT-San Antonio led the nation in home runs last year. Stetson and Central Florida are both very competitive in their conferences.

 I would love for all U.S.-Mexico games to be here. I would love it. By the time the next qualifying rolls around, I'll be watching from the stands, but I'd love to be watching U.S.-Mexico here, that's for sure. The guys all love playing here. The field's always in great condition, the fans are great, and the whole situation is just awesome for us. The entire city is a great host too.

 I think everything in this game comes down to special teams. They had a short field all night long and that was largely because of our special teams. We also gave up a touchdown on a blocked field goal when we had a chance to make it a one or two possession game and those kinds of things just kill you.

 We are very pleased to bring a bowl game to the great college sports fans of New Mexico and provide national exposure to the participating conferences, the state of New Mexico and the University of New Mexico. Albuquerque is a fast growing travel destination and a strong college football market -- a terrific foundation for this exciting new venture.

 We haven't done an honest evaluation of the role energy efficiency can play in our economic development and our energy future as a state. Until we do that, we think it would be bad policy to approve any new nuclear or coal plants.

 I'm sick of losing, being honest. I don't look at this as going to Mexico; I look at this is we've got to win a game. I don't care if we have to go to the other side of Africa, we've got to win this game.

 I take full responsibility for that. The amount of legs that we used in the Mississippi State game and maybe pressing as hard as we did coming out against Kentucky ... I don't think we had the energy.

 We're real honest with parents. Sometimes we'll offer kids a partial scholarship and the parent will say, 'I've got to have a full.' That's fine, that's just being honest. But if we don't have a full we can't do it.

 I think after that first game, we were a little shell-shocked. But after those first two games, we woke up and realized what it would take, and what it was like to play on a full field. Our practice field is only a half field.

 The thing I love most about Florida State is the people who support us. It's unbelievable to be at an FSU football game with 80,000 awesome fans. I want my players, who have done so much to elevate our women's basketball program, to experience that special atmosphere...and I'll camp out to rally those same fans to join us on Sunday at 1 p.m.!

 I don't really know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. I'll be honest. This is awesome for the program and awesome for the senior class. We beat a top-five team.

 We had our teams everywhere. The baseball team went to New Mexico State, men's and women's basketball went to the University of Texas at Tyler, the swim team was at Emory, track and field went to LSU, men's golf to LSU-Shreveport, the women to Nicholls State. And we canceled the volleyball season.
