 The airline industry has a horrendous history in Chapter 11. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat mistakes, and in the airline industry no one learns from history and always repeats mistakes.

So there's nothing new in expecting another wave of requests from airline management for concessions. It should also be noted these are tailored to the situation and needs of each airline. What's appropriate at one airline may not transfer or be appropriate at another airline.

 If you're looking to break into the industry, it's one I wouldn't recommend at any level. Overall, this is not going to be a bonanza in hiring in the airline industry.

 I didn't think there was an industry in worse shape than the airline industry -- but I have finally found one.

 This means a lot to me because we are all in this together. The airline industry is a family and this is my way of giving back to an industry that has been good for me.

 I don't think [congressional] actions should be heavily influenced by a few industries with current problems, such as the automotive industry or the airline industry.
