 We were heading to a cruising altitude of 40,000 feet, so we were lucky the pilot caught the problem early on.

 We had plenty of altitude heading over the pass, but then we lost altitude quite rapidly. Brooks did whatever he did to maintain altitude. He tried to do whatever he could to pull up.

 When it came back to 8,500 feet there was an explosion heard by the pilot, and the co-pilot died instantly.

 The existing pilot channel is 15 feet wide at the base and 3 feet below mean sea level. The larger channel will be 10 times wider, 150 feet at the base, 9 feet below mean sea level and 200 feet at the top. This will give us the tidal flow we need, the volume of water required to restore on a daily basis.

 Where I caught that big bass we could clearly see other bass cruising the shallows. That tells me that they are moving up and getting ready to bed. In fact, we saw several beds in about 5 feet of water. Everybody is getting excited about the spawn. We'll probably have bass on the beds by this weekend. But the real push of spawning bass won't come for another 10 days or so.

 We'd need to reach cruising altitude pretty quickly tomorrow if we are to be able to reach an agreement during our time here.

 It's all so scary, because you think about your kids. You don't think about all the things you didn't do yet. I'm very lucky. They caught it very early.

Then the pilot turned around and said we'd have to take the plane down to 4,000 feet. The pilot later said that if we had kept rising we all could have passed out. It could have been a Payne Stewart situation .

 I think the future of cruising is outstanding. Today, cruising captures only 2% of the vacation market in this country. That's just 9.6 million people, while Las Vegas attracts over 37 million and Orlando is over 40 million. But cruising is capacity constrained. Our ships are full. If we wanted to be 6% of the market, we'd have to double the size of the fleet.

 I had a great day. I was up shallow in clear water fishing for cruising bass. I saw every fish I caught.

 I don't think Trent Green really ever saw me. Once I caught it, I was kind of cruising down, saw a cutback lane, and turned it on. I was very humbled and thankful to get into the end zone for a touchdown.
