The Tour just doesn't seem to give (doubles) enough respect because tournament directors are trying to save money. But we're just going to keep fighting.

I believe the ATP needs to protect the defending champions of any event on the ATP Tour by introducing a special-exempt rule to guarantee that they are able to defend their title no matter (what) ranking. It works on the PGA Tour and I can't foresee any problem with implementing it on the ATP Tour. All the rest of them are playing nine innings, and the coaches in the West wanted to play nine innings (as they did last year), but the athletic directors didn't want to. Whether it was to save money or what, I don't know why.

This was a hard fought game, because both us and West Virginia are fighting for our lives. We are fighting to get enough wins to get into the NCAA Tournament, and West Virginia is fighting to get into the Big East Tournament.
