We were able to sustain positive momentum even as the cross-shopping benefit from this summer's new car employee pricing programs waned. Subsequently, new car sales and traffic levels dropped significantly, reflecting the limited model year close-out vehicle availability that resulted from the success of the employee pricing programs.

 (GM and Ford) have now sucked up all of the available customers through year-end with their employee pricing scheme. And with gasoline, even though it has come down from its highs, at current prices people are sufficiently concerned about heating their homes and putting gas in their car that they're going to buy more sensibly, and they're not going to buy big sport utility vehicles.

 The government is crushing all of the vehicles, so-they-say, but any vehicle looked at prior to Dec. 6 [2005] was sent to auction. The vehicles that the owners were allowed to retain are all over the country, and all of the uninsured vehicles are for sale everywhere.

 The full benefit of the 18 million vehicle sales pace a year ago was never really achieved because of severe negative pricing over last couple of years. What's going to happen as auto demand decline you're not going to see pricing go up, you'll see pricing go down more.

 As you know, the soldiers were not shooting at that particular vehicle, but were acting in self-defense at a vehicle which was coming down after them, [and] had hit one of our vehicles at such a pace -- at such a rate of speed -- that it pushed that vehicle back 10 to 15 feet.
